I know, that's always the hardest part about EDH. I also use attach Gift of Immortality to creatures with ETB effects and sac em over and over again. Solemn Simulacrum Is awesome with that. I will upvote!

Absolutely! That's how silly cards like Battle of Wits work. xP

60 is the minimum for most formats (Commander and Limited being exceptions). Yes, you could technically take this deck and use it for constructed formats, provided the cards fit within the format's guidelines. However, that wouldn't really be a smart move. :/ This deck revolves around Ayli and I couldn't really see it as being too viable without her.

To be honest, I find it to be much safer to stick to the 60 card minimum when playing constructed formats as adding more cards can make it harder to draw what you want faster. I apologize that I cant exactly help you build your deck. :( If you ever want to get into Commander, I'd certainly be more than happy to help! Regardless, I hope what I said helps you in some way. lol

Maybe I can be of assistance as I play 60 and 100 card formats. My advice on making this a 60 card deck is to pick between 9 and 16 of the spells that you think work best (including Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim) and adding multiples. For example if you really like how Athreos, God of Passage plays with Blood Artist and Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim then start with 2-3 Athreos, 2-3 Ayli and 4 blood artists. Then pick more cards from the list that you want to keep and continue from there! I hope this helped!

Really well built deck! I was trying to build a budget version of Ayli, but abandoned the idea. The only thing I would recommend is removing Luminarch Ascension. The card is really good on paper, but often playing this card is like announcing to the table "Please focus me".

Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing. Granted, it's much easier to pull off since Ayli can sac something to counteract damage lost, it definitely does draw that target. What might you suggest replacing it with?

Great deck, +1 from me. I do have a question though, how has Bitterblossom performed for you? I've making an Ayli deck of my own and I'm on the fence about including it.

It's a good token generator. You're ensured to get that 1 life back and the tokens make for good Dictate of Erebos, Attrition, Dark Prophecy, Grave Pact, Martyr's Bond, and Mind Slash fodder. I find it useful, personally, but I can see why you'd be on the fence about it. Thanks much for the upvote! (:

Tree of Perdition is super strong together with Ayli. Karmic Guide and Reveillark have super good reanimator effects and make a good infinite life combo together with Pawn of Ulamog wich is tutorable with Buried Alive. Another good reanimator card is Dawn of the Dead. Of course Westvale Abbey  ^Flip is very strong and fits into the style of the Deck. Last but not least Helm of the Gods can make lifegain through ayli much better and is a solid one drop. I would suggest put out cards like Unburial Rites and Beacon of Unrest. I'm not sure about cards like Ashnod's Altar and Attrition are they good enough to stay in the Deck while your commander is such a good sac outlet? If you have some time to "waste" just take a look at my Ayli Deck and make some suggestions on it too. Its inspired by your Deck.
