@ArchFline I run Deathreap Ritual in my list, because my playgroup tends to lack the enchantment removal to trash it. IpCrash3r had a reason not to run it, but I think it was in the most recent comment purge. Probably just Sylvan Library is better and IpCrash3r already took out Harmonize because the deck was performing well on card draw without it.

@ArchFline I like it though, and if you are building this deck, don't hesitate to try it out!

+1, love the build.

The only thing that confuses me is the choice to cut Strip Mine. I understand the logic behind why you cut it, but I don't understand why you cut it while keeping Wasteland since Strip Mine is strictly better than Wasteland. Wasteland seems like the better cut, unless you're just looking to show off expensive cards.

It also amuses me that you're running my favorite G/B synergy in Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder + Mycoloth and you didn't even include it in the Combo Play section. Back when I was playing Savra, Queen of the Golgari my favorite play was turn 4 Sahr into turn 5 Mycoloth devouring all 5 thrulls, and it just looks ten times better run by Mazirek.

Only deck suggestion I have is a land most people always forget or don't know exists, Swarmyard. It's functionally the same as Yavimaya Hollow, except it's only going to regen your general, but you don't need to keep the extra green open. I'm not sure what you're typically protecting with Hollow, but if its job is making sure Mazirek survives, Swarmyard is an alternative to consider.

I am not sure if your Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder + Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest combo works the way you want to (the one in the description). If you have an Endrek on the battlefield and 5-6 tokens out and cast Mazirek, she is put on the stack and Endrek will produce 5 more tokens. Due to state based effects, Endrek will see that there are more than 7 thrulls in play and sacrifice himself. Mazirek then resolves and enters the battlefield. She does not trigger since Endrek is already in the graveyard.

Great deck by the way! I love B/G rock

I believe avrgeboy123 is nearly correct, just a minor wording issue. You cast Mazirek. This triggers the Thrull ability from Endrek, which is on top of Mazirek resolving in the order of the stack (meaning the Thrulls enter before Mazirek). When the Thrulls enter, there are now 11 Thrulls (Mazirek still has not entered). Then, not as a state based action, but as a triggered ability (this is where you need to be careful with wording), Endrek's sacrifice clause is met, causing him to sacrifice himself (still before Mazirek has resolved). After Endrek is sacrificed, Mazirek enters, meaning the new Thrulls DO NOT get the +1/+1 counter. Good catch avrgeboy123.

Hello,I am building a similar deck, but am running into budget problems. Can you please make a cheaper version of this deck so I can whip my friend's butt with this deck?

I'm curious as to how this does against control decks. It seems like a well placed piece of removal or counter absolutely dismantles nearly every strategy in the deck, which would leave you needing more time to reposition yourself.

Carrion could be a fun addition.

How do you feel about adding in stax eddect? That seems like the most valuable way to play it. Lol

What about Pentavus,Thopter Squadron and Triskelavus? They work very well with Mazirek cause they are token producer and sac engines in one card everyone of them:)

Does Nim Deathmantle do much for you? I'm interested in how it goes in practice vs on paper. I am currently in the process of turning my Meren deck into mazirek. Much more fun. Thanks for sharing this list!

I have recently found you're deck list and I must say I'm in love with the deck. I love the whole play style and the commander synergy. With the new set that just came out I've been interested in adding the The Gitrog Monster to my 99. I wanted to hear you're thoughts on him to see if he would be worth putting in.
