Intro

This is my baddest, meanest deck. The deck started out as just a Simic goodstuff deck using cards i had lying around, but i quickly realized it was waaaay too strong for a casual table. The two options were to either disassemble it ooooor make it even meaner to use as my designated cEDH deck. It is still in the process of beeing upgraded, as I usually build on a budget and it takes time to buy all the fetches ever (although i should just bite the bullet soon, they're not getting cheaper...).

The aim is to create infinite (or near infinite with paradox engine) mana, draw most of your deck with thrasios' ability and then instant kill all your opponents with a Blue Sun's Zenith. In case blue Sun's Zenith gets exiled and or disrupted in some way, the backup combo is to dome the enemies for 50 damage each with Aetherflux Reservoir.

ALL THE MANA

But how does one achieve infinite mana? There's a plethora of ways to do it! Luckily for us we have our most important combo pieces in the command zone, ready whenever. Some possible combos from easiest to hardest to achieve:

Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter in conjunction with mana rocks/dorks that create at least mana. Dramatic reversal untaps all the rocks/dorks AND the isochron scepter each time. Added benefit of also giving you infinite spells cast, which is nice for the Reservoir.

Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth for this to go off you need both on the battlefield and 2 extra mana. Monolith taps for , use the mana to untap it. Now with the untap-trigger on the stack, use Rings to copy the ability. With the original untap trigger still on the Stack, tap Monolith to add again. Now use to copy the Original untap trigger again using Rings. Loop achieved. Each time you do this you gain .

Also I'd like to give an honorable mention to Paradox Engine here which doesn't technically go infinite but is absolutely ridiculous with just a few manarocks/dorks

Parting words

All the combos above are pretty consistent thanks to a bunch of tutors: Tezzeret the Seeker , Fabricate, Whir of Invention, Green Sun's Zenith, Merchant Scroll, Mystical Tutor. Although I should probably be running more.

The deck has the possibility of winning turn one given low interaction and a good hand, although turn 3 to 4 is the usual aim.

If you have any suggestions, and/or criticisms, you are welcome to tell me! Cheers!

Big Edit

kydele is out, silas renn is in. Turns out adding black is good for combo decks. Still has the same goal of making infinite mana and killing everyone the same way as before but now runs a LOT more tutors, has a better landbase and more Dorks of many kinds.
