Mechanical Orchestra

Standard*

rkosi

Fair warning, I am a complete novice, this is the first deck I have ever built, since learning how to actually play the game. In fact, I post this more in hopes of getting advice rather than to show off (though, I am a bit proud of what I managed to throw together for it being my first try).

The goal here is simple enough. Panharmonicon is one of my favorite cards (considering I'm still new and only know a few cards), but most Panharmonicon decks simply use Panharmonicon as a way to beef up already existing win strategies. Well, in this deck, Panharmonicon IS the win strategy. Using Mechanized Production, the effects of Panharmonicon quickly start stacking up upon itself, and if I just wait a few turns once Mechanized Production is in play, I will win automatically, if I don't defeat my opponent first. Cards in this deck either a) duplicate artifacts, thus speeding up victory via Mechanized Production, b) provide mana ramp, or c) provide life and/or a body, thus increasing survivability and allowing me to stall for time for a Mechanized Production win. And, should plan A fail (say the opponent plays "Dispossess" or something), then plan B is Aetherflux Reservoir, I should have enough life from flickering Arborback Stomper or Cloudblazer to make that work, especially if Panharmonicon is still active.

There is also the POSSIBILITY for an infinite loop, with two Wispweaver Angels, at least one Panharmonicon, and at least one other creature with an ETB effect, resulting in the ETB effect of the third creature (any creature with an ETB effect) to trigger a potentially infinite number of times. But I didn't even consider that possibility when constructing the deck, I only realized it after the fact. That combo is clearly not the main goal of the deck. None of the ETB effects within the deck as it currently is would even result in an auto-win anyway, no matter how many times I used them (though with infinite life, Aetherflux Reservoir becomes a much more viable option). So, it is a possible fallback plan, if Mechanized Production gets exiled or something, but not something I intend to use if I can help it.

Synergies (as if it weren't already obvious)

Mechanized Production + Panharmonicon

Panharmonicon + Saheeli's Artistry

Panharmonicon + Wispweaver Angel

Illusionist's Stratagem + Panharmonicon

Authority of the Consuls + Panharmonicon

Aetherflux Reservoir + Arborback Stomper + Panharmonicon

Updates Add

After a few play tests, and the superb advice of Variux, I have made additional changes to the deck. Kujar Seedsculptor, Maulfist Revolutionary, Weldfast Wingsmith, Pyramid of the Pantheon, Gift of Paradise, and Sifter Wurm are all out, to make room for more lands and additional copies of cards already in the deck. Oasis Ritualist is replaced with the cheaper, and more reliable Servant of the Conduit, and many of the lands have been replaced with more valuable dual lands.

Now, this deck as it stands now, is what my plan is. At the moment, I am using a modified version of this that uses the low-value dual lands like Meandering River, along with a bunch of basic lands.
