Dang, nice deck. I playtested against my deck I will man handle you gently (Theros) and had 3 great games. Game 1 and 2 were extremely close.

Game 1When you got Aurelia, the Warleader and Medomai the Ageless back to back, I Voyage's End your Medomai like 3 times. I had you sweating with AEtherling but then ran out of removal, thus Aurelia and Medomai whooped me.

Game 2Total control of your deck. Soul Ransom forced you to make tough choices when you had Medomai, after I gained more cards, I just removed Medomai with Hero's Downfall and took the game.

Game 3

No contest. When you got two Aurelia's I was screwed.

Bottom line: really nice deck. Best thing going for it beside the obvious multiple turns is flying. Showed me I need to work on flying defense. Thanks.

When you have some time, playtest my deck for an interesting game. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that you can only have one legendary out at a time. You currently have nine out of 16 creatures that legendary. I will understand if this is just for casual though. Just wondering.

@AussieBloke u can have as many legendarys as you want but only one of the same name on your side of the field at a time

@Buffy you realize with a copy or double strike ability you get two EXTRA TURNS and she can't attack on EXTRA TURNS meaning....you only get two more turns (now mind you that is a REALLY good effect but you only get two extra turns (maybe 3) and neither can she attack on....

ALSO! buffy...this deck can become EXTREMELY competative...just saying...I mean murica colors...run Young Pyromancer , Purphoros, God of the Forge and even AEtherling (MAYBE Spellheart Chimera if you feel lucky or that it fits) and then a ton of instant and sorcery control and just run as a control deck...seriously...

The funny thing people keep saying is that "she can't attack on extra turns." Only Medomai can't attack. Aurelia will swing in for six damage during each of those extra turns. Between her and Medomai on only the regular turn, that's 14 damage. I'd like to see somebody who could consistently key word there stop themselves from dying after that little equation starts taking effect. 14 + 6 + 6 IF he has nothing else out, when he could just draw a boros charm and turn Aurelia into a twelve-a-turn angel. Just because Medomai can't attack on extra turns doesn't mean that that annoying little combo isn't more than annoying, but instead it's deadly.

My deck would take care of him in a hurry... all decks I run are based around the idea that you have every good card ever printed in standard...in hand...meaning I am usually ready for anything (and thus can take care of MOST things)

I love troll decks that actually work. This is great.

Regardless of whether or not you could kill him before he gets them out, I was referring to how people are saying that Medomai can't attack on those turns, and treating it as though it were relevant. If Medomai is out alone, and gets you one extra turn, and four damage to an opponent, then he's done his job, and bought you another card and turn to use it. My deck (pre-rotation, as I haven't uploaded any brews for post) could also take care of it, before it happens, or just stop it from happening.

Nice Naya deck, btw, Inces.

That is what I meant typhon :P I could take care of the extra turns XD I would care less about medomai...I could just sit there and use his attacks to my advantage...Making it so his extra turns are used to out think/run around my cards rather than swing swing swing...but needless IF you can get out medomai and have it stay...you are probably gonna win either way from the advantage alone...

If you're talking about you Naya, I fail to see how. You have 0 flying defense, and no removal relevant to Med. Not to argue with you, I'm just not sure how the extra turns wouldn't be a problem.

Aurelia's Fury , Selesnya Charm

those are my two major stoppers to things like this

and again, I did not say it was bad, just that I could take care of it...this (if he tweaks it a bit more) could become a VERY fast and brutal deck

Typhon01 says... #13

Selesnya Charm can't hit Med. Aurelia's Fury, sure.

I do agree with the second statement, and I wasn't saying you did, I just didn't see consistent ways of dealing with Med. One card in a deck isn't terribly consistent, buy it could certainly do it.

Now this is an American Control deck I can get behind. Holy bonkers. +1

Well, I'll let you two talk it out, but this deck wasn't really made to be competitive, but it seems to be strong enough to win some games, which was unexpected haha.

Thanks MinscAndBoo!

One thing I had noticed while playing with Medomai in the limited format, there is quite a bit of reach, and ability to block him, But, I wound that adding an Ordeal to him, and also Aqueous Form worked very well, it also helped the scry.

Oh! and since you are running Supreme Verdict , Maybe Gift of Immortality on Medomai? :D

My main concern with this deck is that it simply doesn't have enough removal to survive against aggro...

I love the concept though

Super1s says... #19

Maybe, like was posted before me, a limitless more survival to get to the actual plays. You are talking turn 6-8 here really.mMaybe some reconers or something would just provide that little bit of stall you will DEFINITELY need early against all the aggro that will pop up.

What about Dissolve instead of Stymied Hopes ? Should be much better in mid and late game.

Wabbbit says... #22

Yeah, Stymied Hopes isn't working as well as I hoped. In comes Dissolve .

i like it! i think Strionic Resonator could become a third Supreme Verdict and a third Ral Zarek . Along with another slot open. i goldfished your deck a bit and it seems like Resonator is a "win more" card. The main players you have should get the job done to get extra turns and win.

Dissolve or any countermagic should go into your sideboard, as your deck really is not a pure control deck. i'm not in love with Magma Jet either, so that's six slots that could be cards like Turn / Burn Sphinx's Revelation Azorius Charm perhaps. As you could use more defense, and card draw.

And my final 2 cents is this deck seems like it could find room for a Daxos of Meletis too.

Super fun, i very well might build this deck too! Cheers!

I really like Strionic Resonator even though it's not strictly necessary. I think it gives this deck a lot of it's appeal.

I also really like both Magma Jet and Dissolve . Scrying is such a big effect in this deck because it helps me dig out my combo's.

Understandable, i play at FNM's where everybody uses tier one decks, which is fine, but i like playing with my own brews or cards i like. So i try to focus a deck to be efficient so it can compete, and sometimes that takes away from the original spirit of the deck. :)

Here's my take, i have most all of the cards to build this so i very well might take this to the first constructed in a few weeks.

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/time-walk-24-09-13-1/

i really think Daxos is a great fit with the deck. Thanks for the inspiration!
