Good Idea for a deck. Check out mine. and 1 million turns later I win
September 24, 2013 6:35 p.m.
Medomai the Ageless + Boros Charm Medomai the Ageless + Aurelia, the Warleader Medomai the Ageless + Strionic Resonator
- The way I see it, you'll gain 7 or 8 extra turns after medomai attacks and copied by resonator and Medomai cannot attack on those extra turns because what resonator will copy is also an "EXTRA" turn.

I am Pretty sure the point is to get extra turns and win, it has nothing to do with how Medomai cannot attack during those other turns. That is why you have more than one creature. People have said "well you cannot attack with medomai on those extra turns." That is obvious and people do not have to constantly repeat on what people do. :) Sorry for the rant :P

The combo doesn't work like that. Unfortunately... Because of the wording on Medomai the Ageless , it will only trigger 1 extra turn, no matter how many times you hit with him, he will only give you an extra turn "AFTER" the initial one.

If you hit yes, but if he has double strike, that's two turns. He can't attack DURING extra turns. He can still attack as long as it's not an extra turn.

I think you need either more Verdicts or more in a sideboard. Maybe also Fiendslayer Paladin in the sideboard. Azorius Charm either in the sideboard or replace your Lightning Strikes to bounce creatures early or just to cycle through your deck faster.

Is Lightning Strike that much better than Mizzium Mortars? I would play -4 Lightning Strike +1 Magma Jet +3 Mizzium Mortarts

well I guess the deck owner is thinking of hitting the head with lightning strike. but I would suggest like -2 Lightning strike +2 Mortars

buffy, what about making this deck have a mill win con? Jace, Memory Adept could do it for you in less then 5-6 turns. It's a dual threat with the extra attacks that would have to be dealt with.

I don't think I could remove anything for Jace because the combo is sort of my win con haha.
2x Mortars is in.

I'm working on a very similar deck, but you're missing out on the two best removal spells with Strionic Resonator. Chained to the Rocks and Detention Sphere are both excellent.

Hey ffy,
could you explain Strionic Resonator to me? What card trigger are you actually looking for?
Also, why does it say that you have 60 cards on the right side (over here) ======>but, there are really 62 cards in your deck if you count them at the top. buggy :)
Thanks!

Well, aamiller08, Strionic Resonator will trigger whenever Medomai the Ageless hits the opponent, because it's a triggered ability.
Wow!! That's really weird. Well, looks like I have 62 cards without even knowing it. I'll take two cards out.

I think uping your verdict count to 4 wouldnt be a bad thing.

All of those instants that deal massive damage to fliers for low costs may see sideboard play, that's just such a weird thing to think.

I'd add your two cards back in. Because you have an enchantment that counts as both enchantment and creature (it's technically a legendary enchantment creature - god), it shows up on your listing of cards up top as 4 total cards even though it's only 2, and that's why it showed up as 60 total even when you showed 62 up top.
Hope this helps, great deck concept!

Buffy,
So basically you will get 2 extra turns instead of the original 1 if you tap two to activate Strionic Resonator ? Sorry, I'm still learning :) Thank for responding Buffy.
September 26, 2013 10:42 a.m.
Correct. If you look in the ( on Strionic Resonator it says: a triggered ability uses the words "when", "whenever", or "at". And, as you can see, Medomai the Ageless s ability uses one of those words ;). So yes, two turns off of the Resonator.
