A friend of mine wanted help building a Medomai the Ageless deck for somewhat of a budget. I took that as a challenge and made my own version of the deck.

The strategy of the deck is simple. Protect Medomai as much as possible, give it double strike, then swing. It's that simple. Giving Medomai double strike gives you 2 EXTRA TURNS! This means you likely be miles ahead of your opponent, depending on how early you get Medomai out. It's true that he can't attack, but Talrand, Sky Summoner makes sure that isn't a problem, by getting tons of drakes for you to have fun with during those extra turns. Stormtide Leviathan takes this up a notch, making it so only the Drakes, Medomai, and He can attack. Also, Medomai is a 4/4. If you gave it double strike and beefed it up, you could win with commander damage in 2/3 turns.

As for the support squad, Mother of Runes never lets you play around without protecting, protecting Medomai (or others) from destruction and exile.Dissipation Field, Sphere of Safety, and Propaganda makes it much harder to be hit. Cloud Cover and Reconnaissance help your creatures nope out at the first sign of trouble.

And of course, there are a lot of other spells that help too, but it would take too long to list each of them.
