Yeah Underworld Cerberus was there just for some late game stabilization. Alesha was suggested just as a tempo engine. They kill my creatures I bring them back for 2 mana. It still needs some work and so I want to test out Alesha, Who Smiles at Death for a little bit before completely writing her off.

Nice deck! The mixture of Heir of the Wilds, Alesha, Who Smiles at Death and Warden of the First Tree is very strong.

I'm not sure if i'd say it's my favorite way to play jund, but I think this is the best version i've seen since Khans came out.

Alesha has a proven track record with Hornet Queen. Just a thought.

Problem is that in order for Hornet Queen to work I need discard spells which sort of alters the decks original intention. While I think the hornet interaction with alesha is super rad, I don't think that's where I want to take this deck. Who knows though, maybe that's the best route for jund in DTK standard.

The planeswalker xenagos or chandra might be good for sideboard

There is a red draw two post discard. Tormenting Voice would solve the issue AND cause card draw. Again, it's a thought, and possibly not the direction for your intent. Good luck, though!

I considered both xenagos and chandra. I feel like xenagos is better in a r/g or temur build since they have larger creatures to make use of the mana with. Chandra could be good right now, but Outpost siege basically does what she does. I could see 1 copy in the sideboard though.

Yeah tormenting voice is good for the reanimation build, but it's not the direction I want to go with. Thanks for the suggestions though.

maxmuftic10 sorry, but I don't have any to trade.

I'd almost go Yasova Dragonclaw over Alesha.

Eric1827 thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it out and see how I like it.

Krakshot I have been debating swapping Alesha out for Yasova. I'll give it a go and see how it fairs.

Not Yasova. You need Goblin Rabblemaster. It will work wonders alongside Shaman of the Great Hunt and Brutal Hordechief.

Hey one of the greatest new cards i've seen is Collected Company. It pulls out up to two creatures with CMC Less than or equal to 3 at instant speed (So after they tap out on their turn to kill your stuff.) Not only is this good to have work for you, but it's the type of card that is also horrible to play against.

In jund it allows you to get:
Master of the Feast
Goblin Rabblemaster
Courser of Kruphix
Warden of the First Tree
Yasova Dragonclaw
Boon Satyr
Hornet Nest
Alesha, Who Smiles at Death
Heir of the Wilds
Prophetic Flamespeaker
Reclamation Sage
Yisan, the Wanderer Bard (I know you're not playing some crazy Prophet of Kruphix, just pointing out how varied it's usefullness is.)

Not to mention new cards to experiment with:
Den Protector
Crater Elemental (Oh I think I need something to kill that stupid creature!)
Dragon Whisperer
Pitiless Horde (That's a lot of damage they weren't counting on!)
Minister of Pain (Great for killing a bunch of buffed up tokens from Hordeling Outburst with the Collected Company).

Plus any other two drops you may need (I didn't look for 2 drops..)

Now lets consider some of the nasty things your opponent's can bring out with it that you can't:

Anafenza, the Foremost (Abzan)
Savage Knuckleblade (Temur)
Monastery Mentor (G/W)
Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest (Bant or Temur?)
Brimaz, King of Oreskos (Abzan or G/W)
Fleecemane Lion

To a lesser degree, the following:

Daxos of Meletis (Bant)Fabled Hero
Silumgar Sorcerer (Sultai boardstate is getting a lot better with Exploit. Especially if they main or side some Hornet Nests.)
Frost Walker (Amazing Temur beater)
Heliod's Pilgrim -> Banishing Light or if they are playing Abzan they could Heliod's Pilgrim -> Virulent Plague.
Hushwing Gryff (G/W, they will also be grabbing something stupid like Deathmist Raptor in the Manifest version of G/W)

Awesome list, +1 from me!

Quick question:

Would Reaper of the Wilds be a suitable replacement for Tasigur? I would like to build this deck and try it out but don't have any Tasigurs at the moment

Arctyr says... #18

kengiczar thanks for the input I will definitely have to try out some of those options alongside collected company.

Hydrax Reaper could definitely work as a sub I think. You sometimes cast tasi for 4 anyway and the deathtouch and hexproof can be relevant. Let me know how the deck works out for you.

How have things been going with BFZ? Have you played in any tourneys lately?
