@SynergyBuild: Just completed my Lazav Deck. Now that I switched Mizzix of the Izmagnus to Melek, Izzet Paragon, what do you think is better for it: Storm, or Spellslinger? He'll copy Instans/Sorceries while in play anyway, so it's not going to be like he's useless either; besides; I've yet to playtest with any of my stuff anyway. Maybe you could help w/ the ideal deck of each tier from 1-to-4 out of 5 overall tiers in terms of deck type please? I'd like to know how good my decks could be after all this... :) I just want a variety for each tier though...

He's too expensive to reasonably cast, but does have built-in card advantage, I personally wouldn't run him, and so I don't know how to play him out, sadly.

I'd suggest more ramp to cast him, like a lot of it.

Hmm... I guess it's a start... I was even considering keeping Dack, Ral 2.0, & even adding Will Kenrith as an emergency alt. That said, Good point. I'll start on ramp right away...

UPDATE: Added a lot of Untap Perm stuff to untap Lands, & some Mana Manipulation. Question now is: For a deck that focuses on copying stuff: What should be worth cutting? I'll take it from here for now, SynergyBuild...

XP I'll see what I can cut; but considering this is a "Copy all Instant/Sorcery Storm Deck that blows peoples minds, & makes you lose all friends Deck", this'll be worse than what my Kruphix deck is going through... Then again, maybe that deck doesn't need tham many casts/Infinite Mana Combos...

Seems like I've a lot to do before my Vorthos/Melvin deck regarding the Doujin Fighting Game "WONDERFUL WORLD" (It was originally planned to be something based on Miku Hatsune's Claim to fame: "WORLD IS MINE", but I'll change it when I see some kind of effort of mine to change even my Superfriends deck...

@SynergyBuild: Okay. I got a battle plan for Melek. I'll Make this Tribe Leader of Weirds capable of copying Instants & Sorceries like mad. Even I would do that over Storm normally done w/ Mana Ramp/Untappers (Though some will be kept...). Thoughts?

Sorry for not responding for so long, things got busy as heck. Obviously, I know only so few good other Weirds in my book, & no true Hound or even Horse Tribe Leads even exist. (Why does nobody use O-Kagachi, Vengeful Kami as a Spirit Tribe leader w/ an Arcane Subtheme?). I'll just focus on what this Weird in particular does best; Manipulation of Instants/Sorceries. Thanks for the idea though, even if it wouldn't even work on pen/paper. :/

UPDATE: Literally cut a lot, but I have a different idea now; Instead of Storm, I'll just focus on copying a ton of stuff. I hope this helps...

Hey, it isn't that I don't want to help, I just honestly am not sure what you want to acomplish.

As you said, you wanted to make a copy-mania deck. I build things to be more efficient, whether that means in-game, what makes the deck win the most games, or whether it means budgeting it to be affordable, I just don't do silly theme-decks. Not that I think this deck is bad, but I don't know how to help without steering the deck in a direction I don't think you will like.

I don't know anyone else really that can help you. I'd suggest making a forum post under the 'Commander Deck Help' section to get more help. There are a lot of insightful people on that forum who should be happy to give you advice I honestly, and wholeheartedly cannot.

Storm is not my forte I really cant help you with this deck. All I can do is name cards for what you are asking and it sounds like you are looking for spells that can copy spells. Bonus Round, Cloven Casting, Cooperate, Doublecast, Dual Casting, Dualcaster Mage, Echo Mage, Fork, Fury Storm, Howl of the Horde, Increasing Vengeance, Insidious Will, Meletis Charlatan, Radiate, Reverberate, Rowan Kenrith, Sigil Tracer, Spellweaver Volute, Swarm Intelligence, The Mirari Conjecture, Thousand-Year Storm, Twincast, Wild Ricochet, Will Kenrith,

The main problem that you seem to have problem figuring out is how to accomplish your goal of your deck. You stated that you want to be able to chain big spells and freely cast spells with the help of Melek.

In Izzet colors the most reliable way is setting up an engine where you have enough mana to start chaining all your spells. As what SynergyBuild was helping you out with IsoRev is one of the most optimal ways of doing this. Storm decks needs to make use of cantrips and Melek is essentially a Future Sight for your deck.

For deck building wise, revise your deck based on using either Paradox Engine or Isochron Scepter/Dramatic Reversal. With that than start adding in the efficient mana rocks to abuse the combo, than add in cantrips or enablers. You said you want to copy spells multiple amount of times. Bonus Round is a key storm card that goes amazing on storm turns. You also need to run the rituals if you want more consistency to get burst storm turns. Mind's Desire is another enabler to make storm turns better.

Hope that gives a little more insight on what you want to achieve!

Focus on cutting down your cards to 100 first. From there test and revise, see which card is your weakest link. What card are you not happy to see and what card are you happy to see. Work backwards in terms of efficiency. What is your main storm combo? Your alternative?

Start with 36 lands, add in your main lines of winning, add in your back up line, than start adding pieces. The community here can help you as well but you have to know what you want to do. As for recommendation on cuts, here is a list that I see that is the weakest links.

Pyromancer's Goggles, Talrand, Sky Summoner, Archaeomancer, Rise from the Tides, Mystic Speculation, Mystic Retrieval, Mizzium Mortars, Invoke the Firemind, Infernal Plunge, Ignite Memories, Howl of the Horde, Empty the Warrens, Devastation Tide, Bribery, Blatant Thievery, Will Kenrith, Jaya Ballard, Jace's Sanctum, Metallurgic Summonings, Wild Ricochet, Opt, Insidious Will, Firemind's Foresight, Cryptic Command, Counterflux, Comet Storm

The above list is one of either things, it's too redundant, doesn't help your plan to storm, doesn't add any value, or it's too high cost on storm turns. Cut the cards first before thinking of swaps, if you keep on adding cards you won't be able to refine and get too clustered in deciding. Hope that helps.
