Condemn is more of a general remover, but if you feel the life gain is too much of a downside, I understand that I guess. I would rather they gain life than be able to re-cast their general most of the time, but maybe you wouldn't.

My personal opinion on draw backs is land acceleration > creature token > life gain. Which is why I don't even include Path to Exile in any of my decks. The last thing I would ever want to do is accelerate my opponents.

Glad some of the suggestions helped though.

I understand that about Condemn and I'm not ruling it out all together, but in the playgroup I am in, most of the Commanders aren't based on attacking so much as they are support for each deck, so Condemn seems to fall just short of being useful at the moment, but I appreciate the suggestion and I will take it into account!

As for Path to Exile I feel like it earns a spot in this deck in particular for the fact that I have so many different ways to remove things, I'm not worried about the one extra land drop, it has never been too problematic for me to date, but I can definitely see where you're coming from, and I found your advice very useful.

I just thought of another card that might catch your fancy then, how about Commandeer as another "free" counter-like spell.

I can't think of too many other cards that will be gems in this deck, but take a look at my Zur deck, as there might be something in it (or the maybeboard, which is pretty big atm) that might be worthy of a spot in your deck.

Excuse me Zur, would you like some help?

If you can think of any cards that should go in it, let me know, I'm always open to suggestions.

I like Commandeer but with a 3 color deck it seems a lot harder to manage exiling the 2 blue cards, and the blue cards I have in my deck would be unwise to exile for the most part..But I will definitely take a look at your deck the next time I get onto a computer, and I'll see if I've got any suggestions. :)

Another thing about Commandeer is that you have a lot of ramp in here, sometimes its even worth it to hard cast. Considering the power in this play group, I just love it because it has options, and it serves me well in vendilion (: great deck though mate! <3

demongod the Orchard actually works well in my EDH deck (For You The Bell Tolls) because in my gaming group, a lot of us run the same colors. most run green in some capacity, and most more run black. so for me, it works out. it might not for MagicMike69, though.

Rings of Brighthearth + Strionic Resonator would allow your deck to do a lot more.

You could do things like copy land fetches or planeswalker abilities with Rings of Brighthearth , and do some really broken things like copy all of your upkeep triggers (sen mainly), ETB effects, etc. with Strionic Resonator .

With both you can loop them off each other a bit, but it doesn't go infinite (with anything), so you're in the clear there. The only infinite combo would be Strionic Resonator + Rings of Brighthearth + Mana Vault for infinite mana. That's the only one I see anyway. Everything else is just a combo that can't really go infinite.

Actually sorry, that won't even go infinite, it will just produce a lot of mana. You can't repeatedly trigger Strionic Resonator due to the tap cost, so you could only produce two free mana (plus the three for tapping vault) off the long chain of triggers. The only infinite is with 4-5 cards, because you would need Tezzeret the Seeker + Rings of Brighthearth + Strionic Resonator + mana producing artifact(s) producing 3 or more mana.

That infinite combo is so convoluted I wouldn't even consider it as one because of all the pieces you'd have to assemble to pull it off. I think you should be in the clear as far as infinite combos go.

Don't get me wrong, I LOOOVE Deadeye Navigator , But with only 7 creatures that would benefit from the interaction with it, I don't think I could afford to have it in here. :( I do however have him in my other EDH deck with tons of ETB triggers on creatures and Deadeye Navigator is an allstar.

Boom +1ed.

What do you think of Reflecting Pool , City of Brass , Cavern of Souls , the three other fetchlands, the ping lands (Caves of Koilos , Adarkar Wastes , Underground River ), the orchards (Forbidden Orchard , Exotic Orchard ), the two other filter lands (Fetid Heath , Sunken Ruins ), the old filter lands (Skycloud Expanse , Darkwater Catacombs ), Nimbus Maze , Tendo Ice Bridge (aka Nintendo), and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth ?

You got both Mycosynth Lattice and Celestial Dawn , so I am happy! :D I do want to suggest though Telepathy , for the simple reason of being able to decide which opponent would be best to steal cards from. Additionally, I have always adored Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer and Xathrid Gorgon for their abilities which shut scary creatures down. (Also, Aurification , Dread , and No Mercy do very similar things.)

If you have a chance, please take a look at The Price Is Right and/or These Cards Aura Some, and +1 and leave some suggestions. :) THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH.

wow Mana Drain and Force of Will thats insane!! no Counterspell or Mana Leak ? i find that usually if i am playing control, the cheaper the counterspell the better... also i find that you are missing some draw power maybe Fact or Fiction or Mystic Remora or the classic tax Rhystic Study

+1 from me

@mstancea:Hey, thanks for the feedback on my deck! As for most of the lands you recommended: I have thought of the ones such as City of Brass and the Orchards that produce color, but the rules of EDH state that lands only produce colors in your Commander's identity, so the colors they would produce would essentially turn to white, blue, black, or colorless. It wouldn't really help me play anything from my opponent's hands unfortunately. :/

I really like the idea of Telepathy however.. It would allow me to see everyone's hand at any time, and cause a little bit of politics between my playgroup. I like that and I will heavily consider that. I will also consider No Mercy , as that would deter people from attacking me even further. The same goes for Dread , but he's got a body on him which I like! Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer and Xathrid Gorgon are some things I never thought of considering, but you've kind of opened my eyes to them! I might throw in one or the other for further politics and protection. :)

I will definitely take a look at your decks when I get the chance and see if I can offer some advice, since you so generously offered some for me. Thanks again man. :)

@peru_soldi: Yeah, those cards are amazing aren't they? :) And I do have Counterspell in my deck. I'd be foolish if I didn't! :PMana Leak in EDH to me seems like a really dead card unless you're running super fast and competitive. Also, you may be right about card draw, If I run into any problems with draw power, I'll probably put in a Phyrexian Arena , Fact or Fiction , Sphinx of Uthuun or Rhystic Study . :)

Thanks for dropping by and giving advice and the +1. Greatly appreciated.

Lol, actually, I didn't think about Sen Triplets ability for those lands... XD I was just trying to find some more lands to fix your colors :)

Usually, you can turn the politics of Telepathy for your own good... "Why are you focusing on me? That guy has a Blightsteel Colossus in his hand!!!!"

The only thing to be weary of when it comes to No Mercy and Dread is that the creatures go to the graveyard, so a reanimator deck can basically flicker them. Aurification and those two creatures shut those down without sacrificing usefulness. :)

Amazing deck Mike. Though some of the wonderful cards here I see, I probably will never own myself.. I'm not enough of a blue player to get and keep a force of will.. This is probably one of if not the best Esper deck that I've seen. (Aside from maybe 1 Rafiq of the Many combo deck. +1 from me good sir.

November 15, 2013 5:39 p.m.

@mstancea: Thanks for the input! I really am considering Telepathy for that very reason. :)

And that's a good point about No Mercy and Dread with a few graveyard decks in my playgroup I'd have to play them wisely.. My problem with Aurification is enchantment destruction, but I suppose I have enough conterspells that shouldn't steer me away from it.. definitely some things to consider. Thanks again. :)

@Chrysis: Haha, thanks a ton man! I really appreciate the compliment! I work hard on keeping my decks as player friendly as possible, so I stray away from infinite combos and locking people down, since I play with mostly friends I wouldn't want them to hate me. :P

November 15, 2013 7:52 p.m.

My suggestion would be Praetor's Grasp , against 90% of the EDH decks in my meta you'd be pretty much casting another Demonic Tutor

November 25, 2013 10:43 p.m.

@AnagonLordofSnakes: I like that idea.. that's very.. evil.

November 25, 2013 10:45 p.m.

Don't mind the extra black mana symbol in it's casting cost..... the card you steal is immune to discard :D

November 25, 2013 10:49 p.m.

Interesting thought. I might have to incorporate that. I will definitely test it out.. thanks man. :)

You know, if you had Blood Artist or Disciple of the Vault in here, you make some use of the infinite combo between Sharuum the Hegemon and Phyrexian Metamorph .

November 25, 2013 10:54 p.m.

Sculpting Steel works too

November 25, 2013 10:56 p.m.

@GoldGhost012: Hey man, thanks for the +1 and taking the time for the comment. The only problem I have is I am opposed to infinite combos, and so is my playgroup. That would be a ridiculous combo though.
