I think I remember posting this is illegal but here goes budgetless finite combo.

Crop rotation is probably the strongest card in the deck because I also run glacial chasm, there's nothing like responding to a Kiki combo with damage immunity. It's a duel, sir!

My current list differs by ~5 cards but the core is the same, you eschew all the lower-impact stax cards for random goodstuff. Meren herself is plan F, kind of like karador in the pre-hulk boonweaver lists. It can race dedicated combo decks with a strong opening 7 but the usual plan is to land a trinisphere or whatever and then try to power out the combo. The big strength of the deck is that your winning lines are instant speed and require only 2-3 mana.

how has magus of the abyss been for you?

Just my tidbit, discovered a sweet combo using Cauldron of Souls + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Merciless Executioner. Works well for multiple sacs of creatures.

Actually you just remove the +1/+1 counter of the Walking Ballista and it will die w/o using a sac outlet, and it will come back to the battlefiled as a 1/1(0/0 with a +1/+1 counter), not 2/2. you dont sac the Walking Ballista, you just remove it's counter to use the 1dmg effect. If you sac it while it is 1/1 it won't come back, cuz undying only works if the creature has no +1+1 counters on it.

gabrielkrallzy: technically, the Walking Ballista would still come back as a 2/2, since Mikaeus, the Unhallowed gives all non-humans +1/+1. but you're right about the rest. also, i'm pretty sure he realizes that he would just remove the counters (since he says that in the very next line, where he indicates its an infinite loop), and the use of the word "sacrifice" was just poor choice of words.

gabrielkrallzy: actually i forgot to read a small part of his description, and im guessing you did the same. in his example line of play, the Walking Ballista is put into play via Protean Hulk . this means it would have no counters to remove, (its still alive due to Mikaeus) thus it would need a sacrifice outlet.

gabrielkrallzy this doesn't work because of Mikaeus' passive +1/+1 so Ballista would be a 2/2 after coming back. You still need a sac outlet.
