Nice build +1, and I love the combos. One of the super-broken cards I've found for my Meren deck is Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. If you're focusing on sacrificing and everything instantly recurs once you're golden. Throw in a Triskelion and you have another infinite combo as well. I've also found that Ogre Slumlord works really well with this deck, and I've never heard anyone complain about having free, deathtouch chump blockers.

Thanks for the +1 and compliment, they're always appreciated!
I've tried Mikaeus, the Unhallowed a couple of times in some older builds, but just felt like he wasn't doing enough for me. Maybe it's because I wasn't running the Triskelion combo; I've always enjoyed that one. I'll have to try having him back and adding Triskelion this time.
Ogre Slumlord is something I don't think I ever would have thought of. It's honestly one of the suggestions I like the most out of the few I've been given. I'll definitely be trying him in the deck the next time I try a new build.
Thanks again for the suggestions, +1, and compliment.

ok, if you do add in mikaeus, i would suggest adding in Woodfall Primus and Puppeteer Clique for more combos. those two also pair well with mazirek.
suggestions:Grave PactPhyrexian Altar just in case you don't pull ashnods altar this can do same combos
Abhorrent Overlord hes basically another avenger of zendikarIt That Betrays+Pox for hilarity purposes
can you check out my deck and tell me what you think? Meren goddess of death and rebirth
+1 from me

I've been quite impressed with Magus of the Abyss. With good token generation he can shut down creature light decks very easily.
Mana Web is also amazing, especially with an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth in play.

How's the gitrog monster working out? I'm making it my goal to get one, but I don't know if I'm going to put it in my meren deck our build around him.

Hey, sorry it took me so long to respond. Hypno-Toad (Gitrog) is working out fantastically. If it weren't for Meren being exiled due to unusual circumstances (never letting that happen again) I would have won the game off of him within just a couple turns of having him out. I'm personally probably going to make a commander deck for him too at some point.
Either way, he certainly works beautifully in Meren decks, and I'm sure is just as good, if not better, in his own commander deck.

Have you considered Mitotic Slime or Gutter Grime with Parallel Lives? One of my friends plays Meren, and the Slime is effectively all you need to reanimate things. Grime is also generally really good.

I have considered Crucible off and on, the main thing is that I'm getting to the point where I have nearly no idea what to take out for what. Any suggestions?

I'd never even heard of that first card. I love it. I don't know what I'm going to take out, but I definitely want to put it in the deck. Thank you.
I have thought about the other two a few times, but I'm not sure with them.

I dunno, is Magus of the Abyss working well for you? If not that, then maybe Caustic Caterpillar or Wall of Blossoms or something.
