Btw I don't know if you intended this but, the "sacrifice (and then resurrect) onion" link is a link to your Thiopental (Numbing Euthanasic). I thought it was an upvote.

- Mac97: Fuck! No, that wasn't the idea. Thanks for pointing out that :)
Glad you liked the deck! Cheers :D

I know some people love and others don't but Spore Frog is great, plus with Butcher of Malakir make them sac a creature plus no combat damage for the turn.
In my opinion Dictate of Erebos is better than Grave Pact because of the flash.

Meren of Clan Nel Toth was my first and will always hold a spot in deck box. +1

- F3A5t: Spore Frog
+
Butcher of Malakir
combo is mean, but cool nonetheless. I'm hoping for a reprint of that frog some day.
I also strongly agree that Dictate of Erebos is more versatile than Grave Pact, but both are complementary.
Cheers for Meren of Clan Nel Toth, our first one! hahahah thanks for that vote man

If you put Grave Titan in, you would have an infinite token/colorless mana combo.

- puddingface@95: Hi Puddingface! I am reluctant to put the Grave Titan In here because it's a little too mainstream and that makes the deck building too easy heheh
Also, I already have infinite mana and token combos with Mitotic Slime, Abhorrent Overlord and, my personal favorite, Symbiotic Wurm.
Thanks for the upvote man! Much appreciated

Is the ideal strategy not showing up for anyone else?

Also Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx might be good in this deck

Archfiend of Depravity For the longest time I thought this card included the caster as well. I have to put a copy in now that I finally can read right. It is pure evil. Blade of Selves so good! Pure value! Still trying to get my hands on a copy, that and another Birthing Pod for my meren.

Might have to main Thief of Blood again since Atraxa, Praetors' Voice is the 2016 meren.

Demon of Dark Schemes gives the negs like Massacre Wurm plus can reanimated things.

also, Survival of the Fittest is just so much more mainstream then Deadbridge Chant go check out my Meren deck. I tried not to make it too "Mainstream", just good...

Okay, so I figure you may be busy catching up other decks, or else dealing with non-mtg stuff, but I have a question for you specifically (not the deck).
When you bought/heard about the original stock Meren build did you ever consider the idea that it could have been a mill deck? And I do mean milling others not dredging yourself.
I myself didn't see the potential until a little while after it came out, but when I began looking through some of the card options I felt like that was a potential subtheme that I really wanted to explore, and am curious if anyone else has felt the same way.
