I also have a Meren - Reanimator Deck... and I can see that you already have both those infinite combo pieces.

NICE...!!!

In my deck, I have this 1 creature (Sadistic Hypnotist) that will cause my target opponent to discard 2 cards from his/her hands everytime I sacrifice a creature. I paired it with those existing infinite combo you already have...

Combo 1

Combo 2

Combo 3

*This is not a wincon but it's you can make all your opponents having no cards on their hands and you can steal all creatures from all graveyard. Once your opponents have no cards in hand and no more creatures from all graveyard, you can take your time to trigger all the creatures ability one by one and strategise your attack... Should be able to kill a few players then sacrifice your own creatures (very important). At the end of your turn, all your opponents' creatures will be exiled.

Combo 4

Combo 5

How does Combo 4 works?

SteBear, Avenger of Zendikar enters the battlefield, You get x tokens, sack 2 tokens and Avenger of Zendikar to Ashnod's Altar adding 6 mana to your manapool, spend 4 to activate Nim Deathmantle's ability, bringing back Avenger of Zendikar thus giving you more tokens. Then just repeat this over and over.

Fleshbag Marauder and Merciless Executioner are a menace if you can return them every turn with Meren or loop them multiple times a turn with Meren in combination with Liliana, Heretical Healer  Flip.

Is there any reason you didn't include any combo win cons in this list? Also list could probably benefit from trinisphere.

joseph6708, No combos were included as they would detract from what I'm trying to achieve with this deck. If you look at other competitive Stax decks you will see that they don't run combos and the same goes for competitive combo decks not running Stax effects (see Perfection (EDH Stax Primer) and My Deckbox Smells of Rich Mahogany)

As a Stax deck you try to make as hard as possible for other decks to achieve their method of winning whether they be through combo or aggro. Running combos in place of some of my Stax effects would be very inefficient as this is not a dedicated combo deck (Ex. I would not be able to combo out before the dedicated combo decks) even using combos to finish the game would be inefficient as they are still taking up slots of cards that better contribute to my game plan as well as having no particular means of protecting them.

Hopefully this provides useful insight as to why I don't run combos in this list.

As for Trinisphere, while it is a good card, I felt Desolation was better in drawn out games (which this deck tends to create).

Fair enough. I put together a similar list but ran some combo wincons to shut down drawn out games. Mikaeus, triskelion, necrotic ooze, and devourer give you access to a couple of different combo win cons and aren't completely dead on their own. I cut desolation because most games it causes me more harm than anything. Probably a meta dependent choice.
