I like the family reunion theme of your deck, it also feature a bit of counter spells.

It is quite similar to my own Thassa's Merfolk Trick but with more diversity in the strategy.

Looking at all this though, I am unsure about Augur of Bolas considering that you have only 10 Instant/Sorcery. I have tried Merfolk Wayfinder before and, as i removed lands to approach 20, I found it pretty annoying... Though this one is not going after land but some useful stuff at least so it's not so bad.

I also don't think that Lullmage Mentor and Talrand, Sky Summoner are in optimal use, again considering that you have only 9 counter spell. But i haven't tried it, tell me how it works out for you if i'm wrong. And its a family reunion after all!

PS: I am currently building a deck for which Talrand, Sky Summoner is my main card and with Augur of Bolas and Lullmage Mentor. I'll give you a link when it's done ;)

cool sounds great, thanks for the comments. I'm actually upping my Augur of Bolas to get at the counter spells. this deck is a work in progress and needs some more play testing and ideas to make it better

I think you are right, adding some instants and putting Lullmage Mentor, among others, in the sideboard.Augur of Bolas has worked well for me
