cool deck that I really find interesting. I do have some suggestions though. As good as Path to Exile is it feels really out of place here at least in the main board.
Your playing a combo deck do you really care about any one dude that much if you plan is to combo off in the next turn or two? I would much rather play another dig spell or a counter spell to protect my combo than a removal spell.
I get that there might be some creatures that ruin your day but I would much rather play with cards to deal with them in your side board rather than clog up your main to deal with the occasional creature that stops you. Besides I doubt every deck in modern is going to play a creature that will ruin your combo so I don't see losing main board path as that big of an issue.
also like others suggested it seems like there are better counter spells in modern than the one you are using currently.

If you really want a counter that draws Remand would probably be better a majority of the time. You can't always guarantee that you will have the cost reducer in play. Also you don't care if the card is back in their hand or in their graveyard if you can combo off the next turn.

But Sage's Dousing also triggers the Merrow Reejerey's tap ability..... right?

Awesome deck man. I only have a few suggestions:
1) I'll just put it out there that Glacial Fortress and Temple of Enlightenment are legit (and cheap) replacements for the dual lands for the more budget-conscious, though I personally agree with your choices of lands and understand why you chose those particular combinations. Love the Azorius Chancery + Merrow Reejerey interaction. Genius!
2) As some mentioned above, I think you have better choices of spells instead of Path to Exile and Sage's Dousing. Some I can think off the top of my head are Commandeer, Boomerang, Twincast, Thassa's Rebuff, Unified Will, Spell Pierce, Vapor Snag...Notice they are all blue? :D
Oh, and for good measure, add one Sphinx's Revelation.

I run modern merfolk and I found it interesting to see that your deck uses an infinite combo rather than the generic aggro that you normally see in merfolk decks. I know my play style is different from yours, but please check mine out and let me know what you think. Thanks. Ebb and Flow (Merfolk)

Wow, I've never seen a Merfolk infinite deck. Seriously nice work! Might make a budget version of this.

Could you explain how your Drowner of Secrets + Intruder Alarm + Stonybrook Schoolmaster combo works? I'm new to the game and just having a hard time wrapping my head around it. My friend showed me this deck because he's making one for himself!

sure mhowe. Drowner of Secrets allows you to tap an untapped merfolk in order to put the top card of a players library into their graveyard. If you choose to tap Stonybrook Schoolmaster for this then you get to put a 1/1 merfolk creature token into play. Creatures coming into play trigger the Intruder Alarm untapping all creatures, including Stonybrook Schoolmaster. You can now repeat from the beginning by tapping Stonybrook Schoolmaster with Drowner of Secrets. This sequence is repeated, taking cards off their library one at a time until there are none left. When it is your opponents turn and they cannot draw because their library is empty, they will lose the game.
Hope this helps :)

Hi everyone!. I just wanna say congrats for this amazing and super funny to play combo deck. I played this is a web, but now Im playing in Xmage and want to give it another try because it has autimatics rules (like MTGO, but frre). But I realize they dont have Judge of Currents in their card dabase (lol). So, what can I add instead of Judge to keep the deck working?
Sorry for my bad english, and ty man :)

MTGPlus - Stonybrook Banneret makes Sage's Dousing cost one less and I can draw a card
