This deck is a good deck. I might buy the deck. Love the combos.

three card combo with 2 pieces that die to the most played card in format, seems bad. TBH I'd just play normal merfolk if you want to play merfolk, much more consistent deck. If you want to play combo than at least play a good combo deck like twin or Abzan Company with Melira.

Chronoloco would you be able to expand on your comment? What is the most played card? Also, the deck has many combos, the 3 for the win is simply the best one. Have you play-tested the deck? Your feedback is appreciated.

The most played card is lightning bolt. You can view that data at mtggoldfish.com
I tested it against Grixis and U/R twin, Jund, and burn. The main issue is that you die to disruption. Mostly mentioned bolt to make a point, but that's not even mentioning that Abrupt Decay is insane against you, and is in all the GBx decks.

I could sub in Sygg, River Guide against Abrupt Decay and other counters and protection from the sideboard against red burn but your point is well taken. Do you have any suggestions for that without changing the combo style of the deck?

There might be better stuff out there, but I like Dispel. It won't stop everything (Anger of the Gods, anyone?), but it'll stop some of the biggest threats like Bolt, Abrupt Decay or Path to Exile. Some protection spells like Gods Willing or Blessed Breath might be beneficial post-SB once the opponent knows what they're dealing with.

Just curious on how often the described combos happen...

Don't know if anyone still is paying attention to this but, my question is why not ponder instead of serum visions? I haven't played in tournaments in a whiles, like years, so is it not legal for one reason or another? Also im surprised no one said anything about it until now.

It's banned in modern, currently. Serum Visions and Sleight of Hand are the only premier 1-mana cantrips currently legal in the format.

Wow, I would like to say im surprised but ponder is a great card. I havent played competatively in a long time. But what was the reason for the ban? Just because of how good it is? Or is there some kinda combo with it?

It made combo decks like Storm extremely fast and extremely consistent, able to break the turn 4 rule, especially when combined with other strong 1 blue mana cantrips. I believe that was the primary reason.

what spells do you take out when you put your sideboard cards in?

Red-Skull that depends entirely on the opposing deck and which cards are being subbed in.

Better way to put it. What cards do you think you don't need in the deck and it'll still preform the way it's suppose too.

One of the best decks in terms of it's synergies, +1 from me
