I've been playing merfolk since rivals came out and I think that with dominaria updates this is the most optimized version of the deck. It's surprisingly aggro with an even more surprising amount of interaction. Grixis, esper control, and esper aproach are big problem childs for this deck which is why there are tons of counters in the sideboard to protect your stuff. It's hard to deal with scarab god, gearhulk, chainwhirler, and a few more creatures which is why there's one essence scatter in the side. If you have any suggestions they are welcome. I'm pretty confident on the mainboard but the sideboard is iffy to me since I've only had a little time to playtest but I hope you enjoy!
