As commemoration of foiling out my Rat colonys over the span of their release, I'm saving the decklist that I ended up with after all this time. Yes it's suboptimal, yes, the other Rat commanders are better, but MG is my OG and its gonna stay that way(plus it's altered).

Mulligan floor is 2 swamps and a Rat colony. Optimal hand is 2 swamps and 5 Rat colonys, no joke.

Use MG as evasion and for combat tricks by sacrificing a blocked Rat or even itself if the doubled rats will get you there. There's anthems, card draw, mana doublers, and cost reducers general tribal good stuff. One unique card is Secret Salvage, which it's always tempting to take all rats out of the deck, but really you wanna leave 5-10 in the deck just in case of board wipes.
