My slightly diverging copy of http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/mesmeruum/ by Tetravirulence.

The Mesmeric Orb / Torrential Gearhulk is spicy, but Ghostly Flicker and Cloudshift are muy no bueno (Well, Ghostly Flicker is alright, but Cloudshift makes me sad).

After some thought, I've decided Second Sunrise / Faith's Reward are where it's at, and the combo goes like this:

Mill ourselves with Mesmeric + Basalt, WUB to cast Sharuum (3 from Basalt on the last tap)

  1. Sharuum, ETB targets Sculpting Steel
  2. Sculpting Steel copies Sharuum, sacrifice it, ETB targets Phyrexian Metamorph
  3. Phyrexian Metamorph copies Sharuum, sacrifice it, ETB targets Torrential Gearhulk
  4. Torrential Gearhulk, ETB targets Second Sunrise or Faith's Reward
  5. Cast Second Sunrise or Faith's Reward, Phyrexian Metamorph and Sculpting Steel return to play, copying Sharuum. Sacrifice them both
  6. Target Sculpting Steel or Phyrexian Metamorph with one trigger, then Blasting Station or Altar of the Brood with the other
  7. Resolve the triggers so that Blasting Station or Altar of the Brood returns first, then Sculpting Steel or Phyrexian Metamorph
  8. Sharuum loop, win the game

Alternatively, you can still win with Disciple of the Vault (Blasting Station got exiled and there's a titan in every deck making Altar of the Brood a dead card):

  1. Sharuum, ETB targets Sculpting Steel
  2. Sculpting Steel copies Sharuum, sacrifice it, ETB targets Phyrexian Metamorph
  3. Phyrexian Metamorph copies Sharuum, sacrifice it, ETB targets Torrential Gearhulk
  4. Torrential Gearhulk, ETB targets Second Sunrise or Faith's Reward
  5. Cast Second Sunrise or Faith's Reward, Phyrexian Metamorph and Sculpting Steel return to play, copying Sharuum and Torrential Gearhulk.
  6. Target Sculpting Steel or Phyrexian Metamorph with Sharuum trigger, then Orzhov Charm with the other
  7. Resolve the triggers so that Orzhov Charm is cast first and puts Disciple into play, then Sculpting Steel or Phyrexian Metamorph comes back
  8. Sharuum loop, win the game

Clawing our way back to t1, one "oops" from Wizards at a time
