Dreno33, I decided to use the snow lands just to confuse the opponent. they don't serve any other utility in the deck.
711Keaven: i avoided running an excessive amount of manlands because of cost, like Inkmoth Nexus is nearly $30. while it would be nice to have, any budget options would just slow the curve, because they enter tapped. and conclave enters tapped, so its not ideal. It also holds me until turn 6 without combo protection. it is just slower that i could afford.

Regarding Manlands discussion...
than add 4 Mutavault instead of 3 inkmoth... its only $13 ea. with your current budget of manlands, you have ~$80 in it. 4 mutavaults @ $13 ea + 1 inkmoth @ $27 = $79
why not just do that?
August 22, 2016 5:36 p.m.
there Blinkmoth Nexuses, Dreno33 not inkmoth. my budget for manlands is like $30

I really dig the deck, and am going to build it myself! If you're trying to be tricksy, why not throw in some Ux shock lands? Or you could really throw them off with a Cavern of Souls and call Merfolk....I know that adds a lot to the budget, but just fun thoughts!

thanks sunawa, its great that you like the deck so much! I also love the idea of Cavern of Souls and merfolk. and by Ux shock lands, do you mean things like Yavimaya Coast?
August 23, 2016 11:33 a.m.
I was talking about Breeding Pool, Watery Grave, Steam Vents, and Hallowed Fountain. Although you could use the pain lands, too, like Yavimaya Coast!

Also, have you considered Gitaxian Probe instead of peek? It then makes Runechanter's Pike "Pay 2 life, look at hand, draw a card, give +1/0".
August 23, 2016 11:44 a.m.
sunawa, I have thought about that, but just for budget reasons, i like Peek better. its the same with not having serum visions in here

That's fair. I guess I caved and got the Probes when I first started, but I understand the need for a budget build!

Really wish the Geist of Saint Traft token was exiled at end of turn... cause 'morphing the angel into Progenitus seems pretty good. If it wasn't budget, I would side in Blightsteel Colossus and Apostle's Blessing against wraths, simply because casting Polymorph into Progenitus only for it to get killed by a WoG seems like it would be pretty disappointing. Maybe Darksteel Colossus instead? There aren't that many other indestructible guys...
August 23, 2016 6:17 p.m.
I will also look into the side option of Darksteel Colossus. thanks, Voxzorz!

Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is my favourite polymorph target, although Progenitus is also great. You could consider splashing white or black for token making cards, and even hand disruption if you go black. Bitterblossom works really well with Polymorph.

Love this deck, +1. As far as suggestions go, are you using Repeal because it nets you a draw? I'd suggest Vapor Snag as a more efficient means of bouncing permanents.
August 23, 2016 6:55 p.m.
Triton, Repeal hits nonland permanents. Vapor Snag is only creatures.
August 23, 2016 9:33 p.m.
verynice47, I would have used emrakul, but for budget reasons i didn't. also, if i were to splash black, could you show me where room could be found?
Triton: I use repeal because yes, it nets me a draw.

If you were splashing black for Bitterblossom, I would make the obvious changes to the mana base, fetches, shocks, etc. To make room for the actual card I would replace something like Cloudform. Although, you did mention not running Emrakul, the Aeons Torn for budget reasons so I guess this could be a long-term plan?
August 24, 2016 4:29 p.m.
I would not get rid of Cloudform. It basically gives you a creature that takes 2 removal spells or wrath, being specific to getting rid of the Enchantment first. I would replace Dissolves if I were gonna use a Bitterblossom.

Yeah this deck is awesome... just saying...
The can-trips certainly give your strategy consistency, however, there are a few things that I would change.
1) To keep pace with the speed of most Modern decks, it's absolutely essential that you have a SOLID 1st turn. Since you've chosen for this to be a Modern deck, I would recommend adding a play set of Serum Visions or even perhaps some Sleight of Hand (if you want to go cheaper).
Personally, I abhor Anticipate and regard it as one of the worst blue organizational can-trip spells (given that it's outshined by Impulse, Preordain, Ponder, Brainstorm, etc. (to name a few)), so I would recommend swapping Anticipate out for Serum Visions, given that it's the best blue organizational can-trip spell available in Modern. Trust me, the lower CMC sorcery-speed Serum Visions will serve you far better here since it will ensure a rock-solid turn 1 move.
2) To extrapolate upon your Polymorph strategy, and furthermore, so that you will have a more fluid response to spells like Slaughter Games and/or Infinite Obliteration; I would recommend main-boarding another win-con creature. For example, Blightsteel Colossus, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, or Emrakul, the Promised End (either of the latter two if you don't want it to get Path to Exile'd) could be suitable choices, (although you wouldn't get the cast trigger from Emrakul, the Promised End since you would be putting it into play))
3) Add two more Flayer Husk for a rounded out playset of them to make turn-4 Polymorphing a more likely possibility. The advantage of the 0/0 Germ creature is that it looks tremendously weak to an opponent effectively making them disregard just how foreboding their board presence is until they see you Polymorph it on game one. This is why they will be less inclined to target it with removal on the first game of the match, until of course they've seen just how threatening it can be.
Heck, if you want to ensure that your Polymorph target doesn't get removed, you could even switch them out for some Slippery Bogles to confuse the hell out of your opponents and make them think they're up against a Bogles deck. Or even better yet, keep a playset of the Flayer Husk and swap out Cloudform for a playset of Slippery Bogles (whose mana cost is 3x less and which would leave you with two mana open to cast counter magic when you cast it on turn 3).
Anyway that's my advice, but what you want to remove for these suggestions is entirely up to you. Best of luck making this deck modern competitive.
August 24, 2016 7:46 p.m.
Miniferg, Thanks for your extensive help with this deck! i just have 2 issues:
I would use Slippery Bogle, but for the polymorph combo to go off without a hitch, i cannot have any weak creatures in the deck. if i polymorph into a slippery bogle, i just wasted my morph, and will probably lose.
i use Anticipate because Serum Visions is too expensive for me, and all you other options that are "better" aren't modern legal. maybe with the reprint, the price will go down, like the new version of Inquisition of Kozilek
I will add a different win creature later, but it is still very expensive to do it at the moment.

Wurmlover, you should put in the description the reasons why you aren't using the "staples" of modern, because a lot of people are bringing it up repeatedly lol.
August 26, 2016 4:41 p.m.
sunawa, that is actually a good point. which "staples" should i include?
August 26, 2016 4:45 p.m.
Serum Visions, Inkmoth Nexus, Gitaxian Probe, and Sleight of Hand. Maybe even Mutavault and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn?

Serum Visions is $2 now. Well, at least the conspiracy one is.

Have you considered running more man lands? Throwing in a couple Mutavault, Inkmoth Nexus, or budget option Faerie Conclave so that you're running 5-6 man lands could really increase your chances of having a Polymorph target without affecting your card base. The only downside is that you'll have to wait until turn 5 to be able to pay the activation cost and cast Polymorph.
