Gives you a list of cards that I already think might work in either template. I like to keep my options open. lol

probably would cut down on the Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker s because they are really high mana cost and they are not very good when you have him out already. I would put in a Pillar of Flame for one or 2 of him. Pillar is good against things like Gravecrawler and Strangleroot Geist which may be hard to deal with early with what you have now.

Some board wipes could be nice. Bonfire of the Damned , Slagstorm and the like.
Sorry, but I'm not on a computer that I can playetest on :(.
Your really limiting yourself by saying only those 4 sets, because Mental Misstep , Mana Leak , Vapor Snag and Dismember would all be good.
Maybe Brimstone Volley ? I agree with Gem of Becoming and Pillar of Flame

I kinda thought there were too many copies of cards in here, so to test this out I did a playtest run with my favorite standard deck, deck:here-comes-the-beast-big-fat-anddeadly-o_o
Game 1: Yeah, nothing good came up. Had Bolas in opening hand. Unfortunately, no control cards except for a Dissipate and then Ponder ed into a Killing Wave . At that point you were already drained badly by a Predator Ooze . Luckily, you countered the second Ooze and then a Vorapede . However, in the end, it just wasn't anywhere near enough power to win.
Game 2: Technically had to restart the stupid thing twice because I accidentally hit the refresh button >.< Anyway, when I finally did manage to get a game through, I must say, you need to cut down the Miracle cards, cause every time I played a game, your opening hand had at least one of them. You also need some Sulfur Falls in here as well as an additional Dragonskull Summit and Drowned Catacomb . The mana was, almost always wrong. Every time I had Bolas in opening hand. Every time I did not come close to casting him.
Finally, to help with the mana fixing and deck thinning, throw in some Gem of Becoming to help get the lands you need.
