I think Crackdown, Dream Tides, Meekstone, and Angelic Arbiter all fit your criteria.

Hey, you're the first person to suggest cards on any of my staples lists that actually fit! Lol and what's more, they ALL fit. I'll be adding cards that have effects similar to Meekstone and Angelic Arbiter when I get the chance.

Thanks for being awesome.

Island Sanctuary might fit your criteria. Yeah you give up drawing a card but only fliers and islandwalk critters can attack you.

I just noticed the one land. What about Maze of Ith?

Also just noticed no Story Circle it is similar to Righteous Aura and not as restrictive as the circles of protection. You get to choose the one threatening you the most, also relevant it does not target.

Although it doesn't fit the criteria very well, I think Ward of Bones is worth considering. Creatures can't attack if they can't be cast. This card does also draw a lot of hate, which is counter productive for pillow fort. Maybe it will fit one of your other lists better.

But thank you for making this list. Some good cards I wouldn't have been able to find otherwise.

No problem, I am glad to help!

As for Ward, I dont think it fits any of my lists actually.

Ali from Cairo and Fortune Thief are both solid cards (and so is the modern staple Worship), so I will add them. Thanks!

Smoke, however, is actually a stax card, and so it, and other cards like it such as Meekstone, don't fit too well on this list.

Great list. Could Engulfing Slagwurm count?

BoltTheBirds, you are very welcome.

DrukenReaps, thanks, and yes it does! Added it and Godsend to the list.

Just out of curiosity, why don't you include repeat fog type cards like Dawnstrider or Spike Weaver ? They almost always deter opponents from attacking you.

Peej, that's a great suggestion. The whole point of the list is to list permanents that can help someone survive an onslaught of creatures without having to board wipe. Those turbofog cards are really great.

A suggestion is Opposition, if playing a token based pillowfort deck?

Pure_Insanity and jedtothemax, your suggestions inspired me to refine the decklist to specify and show that the list contains only cards that don't require additional resources to be used to continue pillowforting. Thank you so much for your suggestions!

Slumbering Dragon was added though.

Uskebasi you can see that third point only includes cards that make opponents lose 3 or more life. When it comes to pillow forting, losing 1 life per creature is just too small of an effect.

Uskebasi says... #24

it's the same as Hissing Miasma that is in the list.
