Groundswell is good as well in infect, probably better then Mirran Mettle .

I think rangers guile is the real card to go with artful dodge as with wild defiance you only need to resolve guile then you can double cast artful for game. More simple and no metalcraft nessesary. besides you have all the other buff. You dont need anything else but hexproof.

You could drop the artifact land for more inkmoth

The artifact lands you are using are banned in Modern anyway. TappedOut indicates this as well, conveniently enough.

Yeah they are actually pulled from my actual deck as well as Mirran Mettle for a range of better spells ive aquired since origanally making this deck. I mostly used it in casual games. Thanks for comming here for nothing other than pointing out the obvious.

Mental Misstep is banned. I would also suggest Ichorclaw Myr instead of Necropede . I probably would not use more than 12 creatures either. I would suggest replacing Plague Myr with Vines of Vastwood . Might of Old Krosa is also a very good card in this deck.

It's bad. Your mana base is terrible, inconsistent and you have illegal cards. For a Legacy format you can do a LOT better then this, especially with original dual lands. You need to go back to the drawing board I'm afraid.

I am relatively new when it comes to legacy. I just put the mox and lotus in for goofs i dont have either but let me know what you really think. @Grimwolf79 i do need duals i dont know why i didnt think of that but what exactly are you talking about? Its easy to take one look at a deck and say it sucks but how about usefull card suggestions.

I would remove the Plague Myr , mox and lotus. Add 4 Gitaxian Probe instead. For lands you want 4 Breeding Pool , 4 Tropical Island , 4 Misty Rainforest , 5 other fetch land that have either a forest or an island to fetch and a maximum of 2 Pendelhaven . That way what ever land you draw, you are sure to be able to cast everything you have and nothing is forced to enter tapped so you stay at top speed.

If you face removal, take out 2 Groundswell and the 2 Artful Dodge for 4 Apostle's Blessing or Vines of Vastwood . Use the Gitaxian Probe to see what you are up against, look for what can break you and it replaces itself with the draw.

After taking your advice my first test hand played out hard core. T1 Misty Rainforest into Tropical Island to play Glistener Elf t2 Breeding Pool then Invigorate during my main phase declare combat respond with Berserk respond with Might of Old Krosa respond with Mutagenic Growth swing with 22/11 trample infect. I have only really played against one decent legacy deck my friend has mono blue force of will nonsense deck where he snaps till he has a bunch of mana and basically draws me out using blue suns zenith. But i think once i get a playset of misty rainforest and one more tropical island ill give him a run for his money..

I have to disagree with Grimwolf79's land advice. Those Breeding Pool s are unnecessary, and playing basic Forest s will greatly help your mana. Shocklands are strictly unplayable in Legacy, as you could just play more fetches for your duals. The basic lands are completely fine, especially since you are only two colors, and many of your spells cost 1 or 0. I would even run some number of Wasteland to prevent your opponents from countering your pump spells, as your mana will be plenty consistent with 4 Tropical Island , 2 Pendelhaven , 2 Forest , 3 Wasteland and 8 green fetches. The mana is yours to play with, so long as you're NOT playing Breeding Pool .

In addition, Noble Hierarch is basically mandatory in this type of deck for acceleration and exalted, which is very relevant.

Idk i think this deck is pretty top notch but i cut out breeding pools for forest and a wasteland cut 1 might 1 probe and 1 ichorclaw myr for 3 hierarchs any other suggestions?

Is 19 land to much? In playtests i get flooded more often than id like. Esentially i can win t2 with 1 mana. T1 glistener elf t2 invigorate + berserk swing with 10/5 trample infect

April 9, 2014 12:37 a.m.

@Felixlives Don't worry, I'm more than fully aware of how Infect works :) (See Spreading the Sickness)

I would play 19 lands, especially since (and I forgot to mention this earlier), you should DEFINITELY be playing Inkmoth Nexus , as it helps you beat removal and many of your spells are quite cheap. Getting flooded never happens when you have Nexus to put mana into when all your other threats are neutered.

Finally, I reccomend cutting that Artful Dodge for the fourth Noble Hierarch . Hierarch does so much more than the unblockable spell, and most infect decks run 2 or less Distortion Strike because often times your opponents' creatures will be too small to stop Ichorclaw Myr or too scared to block Glistener Elf , but sometimes it is necessary.

My friend says i should add some surgical extraction to my sb what do you think? Also he says hightide kronenburger blue and lands will still wreck me what do you think?

I'd cut down on the fetch lands and add 3 more Inkmoth Nexus . With Crop Rotation you can kill from an empty board state by fetching up a Inkmoth end of turn.

I'd cut the Gitaxian Probe and Distortion Strike as well as one of Might of Old Krosa and Berserk for some filtering and counter magic. So adding something like 4 Brainstorm and 4 Daze in their place would help protecting your "combo" you can go big and buy Force of Will but they are expensive so it might take some time. If you do get them I'd replace the Mutagenic Growth for them. If your running cards like Brainstorm and/or Ponder you can dig for the good pump spells whiel having ways to protect them.

I think Tom Ross did well with Infect a month or two ago, hitting the top 8 of some tournament. You might want to have a look at what he was playing for some tips from someone who knows more about playing aggro then most :)

Jesus man, why even play at this point? I mean this is a down payment on a 2015 Toyota. Or an apartment. Or a semester of tuition. I love this game, but just no. A t2 win every game? Ok. Cool. Well. Now what?

I made a U/G infect (turn 2 win) deck that cost me something like 20 dollars, which I won an FNM tournament with...this is 2000 dollars...like...dude...?

Legacy man. The deck you built tho I'm sure is awesome because infect is super fun and competitive and has a pile of budget versions cannot come close to competitive in a legacy format. This isn't even that competitive in legacy. Even in modern infect isn't that great without a few cards in the 20 dollar range. My current modern infect deck is almost all fools now and it has a price tags around 500-800 bucks
