If you're worried about aggro strategies as you get mana, maybe sub out some Blustersquall s for more Unsummon s and maindeck the Azorius Charm . Nothing is worse than getting your attack wasted and next draw destroyed by charming an attacker.

great idea but it is too slow and not consent enough against aggro decks.

Ive added the charms in to help with the aggro problem. I think it is coming along better from all the edits I made. I could defiantly win in the long run. Thanks for the help and if you like the new version give it a +1.

AEtherize is a good combat trick, but do you need two? Also, I've been sideboarding Clone to deal with Sigarda, Host of Herons so I don't have to waste a boardwipe just to kill her. It might also be good to copy someone's Thragtusk . I guess Fog Bank and Vampire Nighthawk are good at defending against Sigarda, unless your opponent decides to be a stinker and wait until after a boardwipe to drop her. Actually I like that Fog Bank . I may test it out myself. About how many turns does it tie things down for you?

If I am able to play it on turn two, then it would provide a steady board for me that would last at least 2 or 3 turns. After those turns I would not really need it any more because hopefully I would have at least 10 mana to tap which would be put into better cards that do not require Fog Bank 's use. Overall you should defiantly be putting fog bank in your deck for the rare occasion where it can block a 10/10 creature.

Actually I never thought of her before. It would be hard to find an opening to put her in though, but I will try

No intention on changing your deck at all, but consider another win condition if you decided to splash red. Your mana combos could easily finish off any enemy by using Rakdos's Return, Aurelia's Fury, or even Devil's Play.

I do understand that tapping 20 for x with Mind Grind will most likely end the game too, but I'm just suggesting another dimension in case they are ready for the mill.

Tapping into red could help, but it would take a while to incorporate the cards just because there is tight space for new cards. But I like that idea

I really like the addition of extort triggers. I'm going to look for a spot for Blind Obedience in my esper control. TY For the input on my deck, and +1 for yours.

Ok, here are my thoughts on the deck, in no particular order.

First, I understand the appeal of splashing red in the deck for Rakdos's Return. The card is ridiculous and a complete power house, but adding a fourth color, with only 3 sources and no fixing can REALLY dilute your mana base and make for some significant challenges. This is, of course, assuming that you name Swamp with your Realmwrights.

Second, you might want to think about adding some number of Augur of Bolas to the deck. They help you work through the deck, find your counters and board wipes, and really are a nice, early turn blocker.

Third, one Merciless Eviction and one Supreme Verdict just don't seem like enough board control to me. I know you have Cyclonic Rift in your deck, but that is either a one for one or cost more than either one of those if you do cast it for the Overload cost.

Final thought, for now, why are you playing Cancel over Dissipate? The mana cost is the same, but the added effect of exiling the card from Dissipate can be a really big deal, sometimes.

Again, just my thoughts. I know you aren't going for the "traditional" Esper deck, but these are my thoughts while still trying to stay with what you are going for.

I'll defiantly be playing Dissipate instead, and I might add more board wipes. Also I feel that adding more board wipes could hurt me more than the opponent. I did sideboard Supreme Verdict in case I really needed more control. As for Augur of Bolas, it would help cycle through my deck and get spells, but if I need creature and drew it from Augur. It would go on the bottom of the library. I will try to fix the red mana and Rakdos's Return though.

Maybe you should think about adding in some Planeswalkers to your main board.

@meow999999999999999,

I was trying to add a Liliana, but the room is just too tight. That is why i side boarded Jace.

I know that I am going to get hated on so much for the comment i'm about to make, but I don't think that White has a really massive purpose in this deck aside from Detention Sphere... (this is where I get yelled at) I think you should make this a Grixis deck because the Realmwright + Crypt Ghast + Rakdos's Return is pure genius! I think you could take out White so you could add more Red and make this more of a control deck... I think I know what your going to say, but I thought I would give this a shot... Whatever you think is best! +1!

Milk__Man says... #18

Haha. I originally put in white for Blind Obedience, Detention Sphere, and Supreme Verdict. Whites purpose was to help with aggro decks. But Rakdos's Return is a huge win condition that actually wins a lot of games. However I do think that I could cut down some white cards, and add in more Grixis cards. Ill defiently be working on incorporating that idea, while also keeping some white for control.

shakemilkyway says... #19

If you turn into Grixis... why no Bolas?

March 8, 2013 4:44 p.m.

Milk__Man says... #20

I'm still not sure of all the Grixis cards to add, but he wrecks some deck!

March 8, 2013 4:46 p.m.

True enough. Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker is a must! Counterflux, Slaughter Games, Dreadbore and Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius are also things to consider...

March 8, 2013 4:50 p.m.

Milk__Man says... #22

Yep, Adding Bolas and Dreadbore

March 8, 2013 4:52 p.m.

Even though it has White in it, Boros Charm is very hard to pass up...

March 8, 2013 5:04 p.m.

Milk__Man says... #24

Wow. So many card options. After the Grixis addition my deck has 2 extra cards. What do you think I should take out to make it more stable.

March 8, 2013 5:08 p.m.

shakemilkyway says... #25

Mind Grind is the only mill card. I think that is out of place
