I don't think so. Dual lands aside, I really like my current utility lands: Arcane Lighthouse, Cavern of Souls, Command Beacon, Haven of the Spirit Dragon, Homeward Path, Kessig Wolf Run, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Reliquary Tower, Rogue's Passage, Strip Mine, Temple of the False God, Vesuva, Yavimaya Hollow...That's over 1/3 of my mana base and each of those lands benefit me a lot more in the long run versus hosing my opponents (and potentially myself) with a Blood Moon. If I had a flat mix of duals and basics with no utility lands I'd consider it, but ultimately Blood Moon works best in mono red IMHO (Krenko says hi).

yeah I totally agree I love all the lands you used here, and Blood Moon does go well in mono red. But I was trying to think of ways to put him in a dragon heavy gruul deck. Maybe sometime I will think of a way. thanks for the reply I been looking forward to hearing your thoughts. My thought behind it was keep what you have and hold the blood moon incase needed. It wouldn't hurt to much if you already had a few basic forests. I know you loose the other land ability's but so does everyone else.

Can confirm - It's a fun deck, thanks MsSysbit! I go back and forth with Bogardan Hellkite...His effect is tasty (especially when abused with either Feldon or Kiki) but that casting cost! Zoiks! I almost never have a spare 8 mana kicking around so the Flash ability is moot, therefore the spot belongs to Dragonlord Atarka. She's a little cheaper, has the same ETB effect + beefier stats + trample + she's Atarka. Shrug.

So I have been told that Dragonlord Atarka is better than Atarka, World Render so I'm gonna prove people wrong with going a total different route then your deck. I'm going one shot kill with buffing atarka 5 points to kill with one strike and infect as well. When I am done building it I will tag you in so you can check it out. Cheers

Have you considered using decimate instead of hull breach it does the same and more for only two more colorless

Decimate is a fun card, but it's conditional in that it requires 4 targets (there's no 'may' clause). Certainly effective when it works though!

Out of all ten or more times I used it in edh only once I didn't have all 4 requirements I had to take my own stuff out once before too. I'll take those odds

You are most welcomed, I played EDH games Friday with him in my Maelstrom deck and was able to draw a lot of cards, and got lots of tokens. I would say that Monarch is going to be big in this next wave of EDH games.
