I think Imp's Mischief is a great idea. Besides Withering Boon (why was it removed? It was only 14 cents...) Imp's Mischief is one of the only affordable options to counter spells. What is the deck's current price anyway?

Pleausuresaurus, I think I thought of a reason you would use soulgorger. If your playgroup already goes after your deck from the start, it wouldn't be a terrible idea

Cadaver Imp would have some nice synergy here

I'm sorry guys, but Phyrexian Soulgorger is awful. In order to kill someone on his own he has to connect 5 times. That's 15 creatures I need to sacrifice. The only way I would ever be able to achieve this is with Mikaeus already in play, and even then I'd need one creature for EACH age counter as you can't sacrifice the same creature multiple times.

@crawler3: Cadaver Imp is a great card though, definitely a card you could run in this deck. Although he doesn't outclass any of the current cards by a far stretch so I wouldn't be sure what to cut for him. I probably won't be playing him but he is a perfectly viable card to run. Phyrexian Reclamation and Strands of Night do the same job and they do it better, so I'd be cutting another combo piece for it. Personal preference if you want more recursion or not.

Sleazebag, I just noticed that Commander's Sphere is actually cheaper than Skull of Ramos and they do the exact same thing

Thank you for the deck! I been mulling over making my own EDH deck and they all end up being $300 +. xD

I like the deck concept and execution but I worry that it is rather cheesy to play with my EDH group.

Great deck nonetheless!

dezzo: The upside is that when you discover it actually is a bit too cheesy, you are only down $20. ;)

But yes, this deck definitely isn't for every playgroup out there.

Kind of annoying that moving all the comments to an update in order to keep the page short resets the comment count.

What about Nameless Inversion ($0.25) or Elixir of Immortality ($0.45)?

Go off the tcgplayer price its a $42 deck not 20.... Tcgplayer goes off over all prices people are selling over many websites and the 42 is coming from the average price they all sold it for.If u did not put the set what the cards came from in the deck editor then it goes by the newest the card the printed.

Now with the new commander set beeing out for quite some time and seeing Nevinyrral's Disk as low as $0.63, will it be worth using?

Also noticed now with the clearing of your comments that you had some hate for white enchantments. Have you considered Irini Sengir and Powder Keg for sideboard?

Anti-Christ: Might I suggest reading the first paragraph of the description where he explains he's using TCG Low prices and that the one posted on the right is TCG Mid.

Ulvhedner: Holy shit, disk is now less than $1? That's amazing! I need to make room for it somehow. As for the other suggestions, Powder Keg is ok, kind of similar to ratchet bomb but the redundancies are nice to have, a bit much for me at $0.5 but I can easily see it played if enchantments is a huge issue.

Irini Sengir is just too expensive and unreliable.

Have you thought about Retribution of the Ancients to remove counters?

TwoMagicDudes: Yes, but it doesn't do enough as almost all my creatures go infinite already and don't need it. I could really see this card in a less budget version, for recurring cards like Rune-Scarred Demon and Kokusho as many times over as you want for 1 mana.Really good card though.

It is with a dark heart that I remove Murder ($0.3) and Carrion Feeder ($0.6) from my deck in order to make room for Nevinyrral's Disk ($0.63). Put Vendetta ($0.13) in from the maybeboard in place of Murder (which was getting too expensive for my taste).

I bought all the cards for the deck when you still had altar and feeder in here. I had to order some different cards to even out sellers and now I'm completely lost on what some of the cards were, I'm still waiting on getting my hands on the Infernal Darkness, and I thought that urborg would be a better card than crystal vein for me but Love your deck just 10/10 can't wait to take it to my local card shop for commander.

Sleazebag, I just ran the price for the deck at tcgplayer at the lowest price I could make it and it was $33.89. Do you think swamps were driving the price up or does the deck need to get cheaper

Sleazebag says... #21

Spencerbot15: The price goes up slightly when you order from a single store as they don't have the cheapest versions of each card. Even then, ~$34 is a lot. Did it include the shipping price?

The problem with creating a budget deck like this is that it is literally impossible to make a functional deck and stay below $20 for 100 cards if you don't take certain small liberties (using cards from competing stores, and ignoring the shipping costs). Shipping alone can easily cost over $10 if you don't live in the country that the cards are being sold.

Some stores also have a minimum price policy ($0.1 for commons, $0.25 for uncommons, $0.5 for rares, being the most usual one) which can really inflate the price on the deck when other stores are selling those cards for $0.03 etc.

I'd recommend you go check out Magiccardmarket.eu if you live in europe, far better prices than on TCG as well.

Also, would there be any interest in me making more of these decks?

I was thinking of making an Extreme Budget Kemba and/or Talrand deck (or any other suggestions you can come up with). If I do, what would you want the budget restrictions to be?$20 is pretty extreme and removes pretty much all cards that see any play at all in order to make it work, $40 for example (or even $30) would allow for far more interesting and powerful decks.

Sleazebag, I ran it again and the price went down (weird). The split came out as the following:

Lands: $1.45

No shipping cost: $31.88

Shipping: $0.83

The main reason the price is so high is Mikeaus is now $9.58 and Blasting Station is now $4.95.

Also, I think your idea for a deck would be great. Maybe a $25 dollar budget. How much better do you think the deck would be if it had no budget?

Thanks,

Spencerbot15
