Lit3rlyLog1c: Actually, I used to have it but removed it since I didn't feel there were enough sac fodder that were artifacts. Now that I look over the deck, it has changed quite a lot. Now they are almost ALL artifacts! I should find room for it for sure! (Only Skinrender and Lingering Tormentor in fact).

brother1: Yes, Carnifex Demon also used to be in the list. The reason it was removed is that the mana cost was too high. You don't want to run anything that costs more than Mikaeus in this deck! :)

I ordered the entire card list at 81 cards, what cards from the maybeboard should go in over the main board?

scottiedX: The best additions are Sol Ring, Blasting Station, Carrion Feeder and Crypt Ghast!

Can you tell me what to take out to add them in? I don't want to unbalance the outlet/fodder ratio.

scottiedX: The important part is to always have one fodder/outlet at each CMC, so that all your transmute cards can tutor for a win condition.

Sleazebag just got back from my LSG, played 2 2v2 EDH games and 1 1v1, and the deck did 2-1. Had I practice piloting this beast, I could have easily had 3-0. Indeed, epic deck is epic, and also, thanks for sharing. would +1 it at least a 100 more times! ; )

Ebay is amazing. For my budget artifact deck Tri-Color, Meet No-Color., I found a playset of Flooded Strand, Godsend, and while I was looking every other fetchland, for $1.00 with $2.50 shipping! IT was awesome! Thanks for suggesting ebay!

I find it entertaining that this deck is no longer less than $20.

This is the most Spike EDH deck I've ever seen. It's not my playstyle (Johnny 4evs) but I'm still very impressed :)

I just built a deck based on this one. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I was able to buy almost everything except most of the lands and enchantments. I filled the rest in with black cards I had sitting around. Here is my list.

MLS4thewin: It's still more expensive than Blood Bairn which replaced it. Feel free to run either one (or both) though. They work just as well.

One of the biggest flaws I tend to see with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed decks are this: HOW do you remove the +1/+1 counter to go infinite? Obviously there are in-built effects like Graft and I'm well aware of the Mikaeus, the Unhallowed-Triskelion combo, but short of something like Hex Parasite I never understood how you could reanimate multiple times.

Please forgive me for this, but I've yet to play with or against Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and have olny looked at him from the deck construction perspective (minimal netdecking involved), so I don't really know much about him save that he's a combo - good stuff value card build specifically with undying in mind. This sounds like a fun deck and I would love to try it out, but want to understand this flaw first.

Also, if we DO go infinite reanimation, why not throw a lol condition in and play Ichor Rats. Poison everyone to death!! NO ONE WINS!! GG!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

Mikaeus works because of a rule that says if a creature has both a -1/-1 counter and a +1/+1 counter on it, those counters cancel out and disappear. For example, if Skinrender targets itself when it re-enters the battlefield with undying, one of the -1/-1 counters will cancel with the +1/+1 counter, leaving it with no +1/+1 counters and able to trigger undying again.

JaceNordark: What brother1 said is right. If a creature has both +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters on it, they cancel each other out. Which is why we run creatures that enter with -1/-1 counters, as they naturally go infinite. Ichor Rats wouldn't work because it doesn't enter with a -1/-1 counter. Also, the deck is meant to win, not draw.

I've been playing a variation of this deck for a while now. When I bring out the deck and they see Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is my commander, the table team up against me. =D

So, I've replace Mikaeus, the Unhallowed as my commander with Sidisi, Undead Vizier. My plan is to use sidisi to tutor up all the pieces I need then drop the combo. This might only work once, when the table figures out it's the same deck, they will probably exile Mikaeus, the Unhallowed as soon as possible. You can take a look at the deck here if you like Sidisi, the the Unhallowed. I'll know how it works on Saturday!

Ayle: Add Chainer, Dementia Master, when you cast sidisi the first time, let her go to the grave, then chain ress her with chainer for cheap tutors. Tutor for Cabal Coffers the second time and go crazy with the tutor mana.

Phyrexian Altar + Gravecrawler + Blood Artist or Mikaeus + Triskelion is easy.

I'm adding Chainer, Dementia Master. Mimic Vat seems like it would be a good add here as well. Gravecrawler may have to wait a week or two.

I didn't get to play it this past saturday, but I will definitely play it next saturday.
