So, I built this deck about a month ago for 30$ (I traded for Mikaeus, and bought NM cards), which I used store credit to pay for, as I bought it at my LGS. A couple things were substituted, due to availability.
Anyhow, I wanted to say that this deck is beautiful and degenerate at the same time. I currently have a 66.6% win percentage with it. I typically play Voltron, so people don't expect this.
With the list I have, there are 145 individual combos that go infinite. (Maybe more, as I may have missed something). This is absolutely ridiculous. Thank you for creating this beautiful disaster.

If I had, a Liliana, Heretical Healer Flip lying around, would she be good enough for the deck?
July 18, 2015 5:14 p.m.
Spencerbot15: No, she doesn't really do anything to further our strategy. What you can do is trade her for many of the staples that DO help our strategy. She is $26 after all (and probably wont be for long.)
Tobi2x4: Always glad to see people enjoy the deck!

Has anyone mentioned Retribution of the Ancients? Thought it'd be perfect for the deck, rarity aside.

Skulloelegy: I believe it's been mentioned about a dozen times yes. :P
It's an awesome card in Mikaeus decks as it allows you to reuse the ETB on any number of creature for one black mana.
The problem in THIS deck is that all our creatures go infinite already, so it doesn't do anything here, but in a normal EDH deck (Like my non budget version that runs cards like Kokusho, Gary, Sad Robot etc) it is goddamn amazing. So I do run it there!

I'm glad to have joined the voices of the choir!

Skulloelegy: Any and all support is welcome! Even if I have heard it before. After all, in any mikaeus deck but this on, it is an insta-add.
Maybe I should add a section for commonly suggested cards that I can't run...
Also, the deck has now passed 900 votes! Only 50 more and it will be the fourth highest rated deck on the site! I'm obviously aiming for number 1 though!

This deck list is fantastic!!! I have a Mikaeus laying around and would like to do a version of this list. No problem Doing a budget version. But not ready to step up to a $1000 deck list just yet. Do you have a build somewhere in the middle? 1-200 would be perfect. Also while scouring eBay don't forget about gold border cards. Most play groups will let you play them. Tournaments I'm not so sure. Might depend on the rules. You get my +1 every time I open this list.

I have a non-budget list up already! Just cut the most expensive cards (They are listed in the description), and you are a good way to a higher power version of the deck.
I haven't mentioned gold-border cards because of the nature of this deck (competetive), not that many people want to play against this for fun. So "EDH nights" and similar things.

I've been playing this deck for a few weeks now and I added in some graveyard return and more targeted removal.
I also added in some more tutors like Demonic Collusion , Insidious Dreams , Brainspoil and Increasing Ambition
Shadows of the Past is also a good addition

Costs 26 now apparently. You may have to go back to the drawing board on this one.

PopcornBunni: The TCGmedium price is $26.
The TCG low is $19.

Why do i now crave an alter with Gisa using Mikaeus as a puppet?

Such a great deck. I played it on mtgo and what can I say it does cause a lot of hate.

Qu4ck: Glad to hear you like it! There's a guy in the comments above (on phone so can't find it) who made a mtgo version of the deck,as there are some stupidbroken pieces that are cheap there while incredibly expensive on paper. You should check that out.
JaceNordark: Everyone knows mikaeus is the actual one in command.

Qu4ck, my deck that was inspired by this one on mtgo is Budget+ Mikaeus EDH for MTGO and has lots of fun interactions.

How about Viscera Seer a sac outlet that helps you set up other combos
August 7, 2015 7:14 a.m.
Imagine such situation.
Commander, Heartless Summoning, sac outlet on battlefield.
I cast Tatterkite. Because of Heartless Summoning it goes to infinite loop.I just don't get if it's possible to sacrifice Tatterkite between State-Based Actions or not.
August 12, 2015 12:49 a.m.
steveoowns: Completely forgot this comment, sorry for the late reply! I used to run Viscera Seer but I felt that fixing the top of your deck was too slow without a way to draw the card you scried for straight away. If there was more draw in this deck I'd play it, and I DO play it in the more expensive version of the deck as it is able to shine when it has other better cards to scry for.
TeOr: Fortunately that is not a problem! Mikaeus gives a +1/+1 static buff to all non-human creatures! Heartless Summoning and Mikaeus cancel each other out and leave the Tatterkite as a 2/1. :)
However, if you were to end in that scenario somehow (say, someone has Night of Souls' Betrayal in play) then no, you would not be able to sacrifice it in between the state-based actions. You would however be able to respond to the undying trigger, if you wish to. If you don't, the game ends in a draw. Of course, you can sacrifice Mikaeus to stop the loop if you don't want the game to end in a draw, or if you have a card like Blood Artist in play then an infinite loop wins you the game.

I think these cards could be useful
Undying Evil saves general or sac outlet from removal
Dark Dabbling does the same + draw
Macabre Waltz returns creatures from graveyard to hand
August 13, 2015 5:27 a.m.
Cmon, only 50 more votes for 1000!
TeOr: They are definitely useful, but I feel they are too situational. Macabre Waltz is great though.
