Kheru Bloodsucker's toughness requirement only works with Pith Driller in this deck. Sleazebag actually uses Ashnod's in his nonbudget version. The problem is this deck is under 20 bucks which means 20 cents is average card cost. You are correct than Undercity Informer is a good idea. The issue is that being Human means it isn't protected by Mikaeus

Man, I don't even need to do anything with chosenone124 here. Everything he said was explained perfectly.

Adding to a few more things though:

Undercity Informer is an infinite mana win condition that loses to Eldrazi Titans. CaTastrophy427: In the combo you explained, Ashnod's Altar + Spincrusher + Mikaeus is an infinite mana combo. Undercity Informer is just there to use your mana to finish. He isn't feasible at all without having infinite mana, as you'd have to activate him roughly 100 times to finish a multiplayer game (and again, hozed by Eldrazi Titans). It could be replaced by a card like Exsanguinate at no loss. Or just an additional tutor, which you could use to grab Blasting Station or Triskelion.

I was super excited when they fist spoiled Kheru Bloodsucker, not because of the sac ability obviously, but the lifedrain. Unfortunately, after going through the creatures I play, I realized that it pretty much never triggered.

Lightning Coils is a good suggestion, but it has one major problem: You can't remove the counters until your next upkeep. So you will essentially combo off, then give every single opponent a turn to deal with you at all costs. It's just not feasible.

Puppeteer Clique is simply freaking great. It's not in this list due to its price. Check out the other Mikaeus list and you will see him there. Instant speed hasted reanimation of every single creature your opponents control!

I built the deck and tried it out in a few games :p. Do you know some cards that can help with the counters/instant speed removals commonly seen in multiplayer? I'm running the enchantments that make everything produce only black to block counterspells, but there are only 2 of those.

Sleazebag, you diabolical...

You need to fix the interactive combo part of your deck description. You have cards no longer there which throws off just how many combos really are in the deck when someone like me wants to check it out.

Tyrannosary: I realize I've swapped out many cards from when I made the description, but having the exact combo pieces in the description and decklist be the same isn't really necessary. They achieve the exact same result, just with different names, and it lets people see even more cards they might want to run, in order to minimize deckbuilding costs.

Of course, this was just my point of view on things, if nobody agrees with me I'll get down to fixing it.

Could you do a section for combo pieces in the deck and then an additional section for combos that aren't in the deck but could be possible?

You were saying that they just need to reprint Necropotence? Wish granted. Eternal Masters is reprinting it, though I'm not sure it is going to drop in price much. (No mention of Contamination as of yet)

Hey Sleazebag, I was wondering if you could tell me what cards I should add and take out from the original decklist above to make the deck even more consistent, or just add in cards that do the same thing but better for the decks goal. Thanks!

Personally, considering that the information below the deck is supposed to be a guide for it, I think it'd be nice for new people to see cards in the deck that fit the various criteria currently, instead of just cards that work but aren't in it (Ex. Blasting Station). I'd go even further personally and mention specific upgrades that are either important or just better than current cards within budget.

He already linked a non-budget version of the deck to use as a guide

That's the problem. I can spend more than $40 on a deck, but I also can't spend more than $800 as well. What I'm looking for is a list of cards that given a higher budget, would be a priority to obtain to make the deck better.

That list of cards is the non-budget version and in this deck's description and maybeboard. Your first priority is to get every "major combo piece" in the description of this deck (ex Blasting Station). If you want cards to replace with the combo pieces, look at earlier revisions of this deck. He's been replacing cards that shot up in price (Blasting Station) with crappy cards to keep his tight budget.

In his non budget section there is a list of cards called "The New Cards" which means cards he added for individual power. "The New Combos" are cards he added for improved combo potential.

I'll add one thing that he doesn't explictly mention. The easiest way to stop this deck is to repeatedly remove or take control of Mikaeus. Sleazebag uses Contamination and Infernal Darkness to block counters. You can also add cards such as Command Beacon to reduce the cost of a double killed Mikaeus (though if Mikaeus has died twice you should already have lost)

I feel that Nantuko Husk is much better as a sack outlet and barely affects the price... and the variants as well

May 31, 2016 4:17 a.m.

So your entire deck it less than a dollar to acquire? Cause Mikaeus is 19 dollars...

Mikaeus's low price is $15, and has been rising for a bit

It sucks, but it might get to the point with this particular deck list that under $20 won't be able to be achieved. If he keeps rising that is. there are always the proxy versions, but if you take the deck to an EDH event, they don't always allow proxies. The closest I've come are gold border cards being allowed. Might need to up the budget a bit? Possibly $40? That is where MTG comes in at their pre con decks. Just an idea. But I do enjoy my Mike deck sitting in the box for a rainy day. It's good enough and inexpensive enough to allow that. And then bring it out and smash the dude in the face that keeps running his mouth and talking trash

Remove Altar of Dementia and Nevinyrral's Disk. Replace with Haunted Cloak and literally any cheap card.

$15 Commander + 59 whose "Low" calue on TCGPlayer is around 8 cents + 40 basic lands (who are pretty much free) = $15 + number less than $5 = number less than $20

Looks like it fits the budget.

June 4, 2016 10:23 p.m.

The decks price doesn't include the commander, you can get a proxy Mike for like $5-$6. If you read the entire description you will find a pricing guide with some explanation on how Sleazebag keeps the value below $20. For starters I think he is in the UK so prices are a bit different. Also using spanish cards and heavily played or damaged cards can also keep the value down. Give the full description a read when you have some time. :)

Heyy, Check out my Mike deck. Please I need your help. I just updgraded from this deck but I doubt it. Hope you can help me. I really love this deck but the Not so budget version is too expensive for me, So I built my own deck just like this

This is my deck Mikaeus, The Unhallowed Combos

Fh3nyx says... #21

Doesn't look like a reprint any time soon, you may end up having to make this deck "mikaeus + 20$" I wouldn't mind seeing the flex you get from that alone.

How come this deck is listed as a $20 deck but with the commander it will cost close to $40?

August 8, 2016 3:22 p.m.

Klassickent because the commander he has on this list is a proxy.

So this is meant to play with friends? Is there a way to get a cheap foreign commander? I tried googling but they didn't seem to be much cheaper than English versions.
