The day has come, we have passed the 300,000 mark!
Also the most viewed deck on tappedout by far (assuming the EDH staple list doesn't count as a deck).

Congrats Sleazebag!!! This is an amazing deck. I've had some fun with it and wrecked some days. That sigh or "ugh" when I grab it out of my bag is priceless. So keep up the good work.

DasTree: Thanks, I really didn't expect this deck to go as far as it has. When I first made this deck back on MTGdeckbuilder, it looked completely different. It's become so much better from then.

The E-Masters reprint of Carrion Feeder has dropped his tcg price to 15c. As I understand it, your maybeboard is for cards that would be good in the deck but are too expensive.

okay maybe its because its too good but why not the old Triskelion combo? The card is cheap too

trorax: No such thing as "too good" for this deck, Triskelion is in the list!

Have you tried out Urborg Justice? I was digging through some old cards and that one made me think. I haven't played it yet though.

Mikaeus seems to cost the 20 himself these days. But also may i would suggest zulaport cutthroat over blood artist. Hits the board instead of target. So it cant be blocked and nets you more hp. He came in BFZ

Personally, I picked the artist over cutthroat because he gets the +1/+1 and undying from Mikeaus. So, it will take my opponents at least two removal spells to get rid of Blood Artist. Besides Mikeaus + Spincrusher + Ashnod's Altar with Blood Artist on board is still killing each opponent

If its not being blocked by hexproof or shroud. The cutthroat gets around that and hits everyone giving more sustain. It doesnt get the 1/1 but who cares when hes just there for the ability youre not swinging or blocking with him.

I take it back. I misread the card. My bad. The cutthroat doesnt get the undying either i see now.

I have a question would this deck be ok for a first time commander player?
October 29, 2016 11:32 a.m.
Wartwolf: As everything in commander, it depends on your meta, but generally: NO!
Commander is usually played as a casual and fun format between friends, where the singleton rule and 40 health allows for longer and splashier games with more variation. Generally you want a deck that you can play with often while still keeping variation and fun high. This deck is not made for fun, or for variation. It's made to kill players, preferably as consistently and with as little variation as possible.
Now, if you happen to have an extremely small budget and your meta is really high power, then building this can be fine. Overall I recommend building this as your second commander deck, so you can take it out when you mean business.
Next week the new commander preconstructed decks are coming out, so check out those! They look great!

I will post again. I love stomping face with this deck. For the price it can sit in a box and be brought out on special occasions. You have a friend that brings that 1 douche bag player, they thing they are an EDH master, Good luck sucker!!! I have brought this deck out many times against high powered decks, and have come out on top. I've even loaned out decks from my own personal collection and stomped them too.

Sleazebag Oh I get it I think. So basicly commander is just casual gameplay where you play the cards that are fun and not really focus on winning but just to play a casual game
October 29, 2016 5:56 p.m.
Wartwolf: It depends on playgroups, but yeah that's usually the plan. Some find most of their enjoyment from playing super serious and cutthroat, some enjoy really long and whacky games. This deck fits with the prior but not with the latter.
Fortunately, as DasTree mentioned, this deck is so cheap that it doesn't really take that much of an investment to get, so I can easily recommend it as your deck number 2. Even if it ends up not being your cup of tea, you haven't wasted that much money.

You will most likely not respond, but what do you think of this build?http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/mikaeus-not-so-extreme-sub-200-budget-edh/

Sleazebag I bought the forged in stone commander deck from 2014 I'm going to add some cards from my collection into it. I started in SOI but I have a some cards from 2011-2013 for some reason so some of them can finally be used I'll post my deck once I get it all fixed up thanks a lot for the help!

spudman3d: That link doesn't work.
Wartwolf: I hope you have a lot of good equipments! Mono white is a tough color to play in commander, due to a low amount of card draw. But it can definitely be made to work, just remember to add card draw like Puresteel Paladin, Mentor of the Meek and cards like Mind's Eye.

Colorless has a decent amount of card draw. You could just run the usual mono color mega ramp cards (Caged Sun, Extraplanar Lens) combined with an artifact subtheme

smackder: Sorry, but 60 islands isn't a deck. I have already won the moral victory, and at this rate my true victory is right around the corner.

rob_shifflett: It works, but I don't run it because
1: Each loop costs B
2: The creatures already remove the counters on their own, so it's fairly redundant here.
I run it in the non-budget Mikaeus version, there it's completely crazy, because you run value cards with great ETB / LTB triggers that you can abuse as many times as you want.
