I built this deck, then added money into it to make it worth $50, then over time just kept adding to it. Total worth is now $100 - still pretty budget compared to most "competitive" EDH decks, but can really hold its own.

why is this deck possible for only $20?

why do I have this sudden urge to buy this deck even though all your points about it only being fun once apply strongly in my mtg group?

(i also kinda want to buy this deck, and make it worse. throw in a Razor Boomerang and a Scornful Egotist , take out some good combos, make it nicer in general...)

I approve greatly of these shenanigans, and will probably pick up this deck in the future.

Just a warning to some people wanting to build this deck, Mikaeus is banned in many local shops as a commander on pod nights. It is banned in all three LGS in my city. This commander is a powerhouse that has many infinite combos in the deck (yes it sounds fun but think about actually playing it and playing against it) and is therefore locally banned in some shops.

Local bans be damned, when my playgroup complains about me proxying fetch lands in Mayael the Anima casual.dek only to be hit with a $20 infinite-a-thon zero proxy Mike, that ought to shut them up.

Just have to say, love the idea and the execution. Just recently got into EDH and this is all so new to me. I spent my entire morning and afternoon commute looking over this deck, the cards, and the comments. Really learnt a lot from this, THANK YOU!

I have been thinking about building a deck to play just when peoples attitudes are pissing me off and I think I've found a great starting point! I think this is a disgusting example of EDH at it's worst, and I love it.

Be warned, just because this deck is cheap does not mean it is noob friendly.And by noob friendly I mean if your friends are also new they won't enjoy playing against it.
