This deck runs hard and heavy milling, it allows you to mill without worrying about your opponents life. Though you have no instant cast this deck just persistently drops your opponents deck count.
It runs chainer's edict for quick kills, though in the version I play I run Devour Flesh for it's instant speed. The two avatar's of woe, three barter in blood, and four chainers edict allow to have creature control and pull apart about 16 creatures over time. It also side boards 4 infest incase you run into a deck with a higher populace.
Jace, Memory Adept can be a game winner simply by his quick ten mill, and forcing your opponents hand to focus fire him because of his lethality.
An opening hand I often see is Glimpse the Unthinkable, Mind Sculpt, Chainers Edict, Hedron Crab, Island, Dimir Aqueduct, Compulsive research. This is a quick twenty down by turn three. Then the deck runs from there just pulling mill and dropping their deck. The fastest I've won a round is by turn five, after pulling Jace, two Glimpse the Unthinkable, Hedron Crab, and Mind Funeral.
A deck though I found impossible to beat is battle of wits, oh how I hated it. Though I'm still thinking of adding cards to deal with deck revival when they start shuffling their graveyard back into the deck. As well as Reanimator seems to be an issue, it's here and there if I pull a Chainers Edict or barter in blood can I survive.
The sideboard also runs Mana Leak and Psychic Strike to deal with combo decks other than TEPS.
