Only thing i would do is put Jace's Phantasm into the mainboard somehow reason being you can get him to a 5/5 flyer on turn 3 pretty consistently.

samdamagicwiz I was looking into that, trying to figure something out. One of my friends recommending putting Jace's Phantasm in for Serum Visions and adding Surgical Extraction to the Side Board. The changes are reflected and I think it'll work out. If I need card advantage I can always put Serum Visions back in. Thanks for the input!

I love Undead Alchemist but you would need to make him unblockable. How about Mind Sculpt and Dream Twist?

Can't say I find Dash Hopes very effective in a deck which main objective isn't to win by damage. Neither in a deck that is heavier on another color than mana symbol b.

And even less so, in a deck where that heavier color is mana symbol u.

Thanks for all the ideas, I'm been pretty busy the last few months since I'm Overseas but I'm finally getting back into the planning and brewing. I took out Dash Hopes and put in Twincast and am definitely looking into the other suggestions. Thank you!

I really don't understand your sideboard choices; is Killing Wave there to be a board-wipe? If so, it's very unreliable and bad at doing that, particularly in a deck that doesn't really pressure the opponent's life-total. You'd be better off just running Damnation. Also, what match-ups do you bring Serum Visions in for and what match-ups is it bad enough in that you've got it in the sideboard rather than the main?

Lame_Duck, you're absolutely right, Killing Wave failed as a board-wipe against Elves so I'm looking for a replacement and I had a set of Serum Visions and had never sided them in, so they're out now. The manager of my LGS recommended Collective Brutality so I'm going to try that out but it doesn't work as a board-wipe. Damnation would be awesome just have to convince the wife for that one! Thanks for all the suggestions!

if you need a cheaper (price wise) board wipe, instead of Damnation you can use Languish as a temporary replacement

rodsters thank you for the suggestion, my LGS had 3 Languish so I picked them up and added them. Now to find some Damnation and acquire them without getting divorced!

If I were you, I would drop Ashiok, Dream Render and a few Ensnaring Bridge to the sideboard. Ashiok works against Archive Trap, so it doesn't make sense in this case.

I would also heavily suggest adding Drown in the Loch for some creature and spell control, along with Fraying Sanity.

Fraying Sanity + Archive Trap, mills almost half your opponent's deck for 3 cmc.

ZHamburglar, thank you for the suggestions. I have had both Drown in the Loch and Fraying Sanity in the deck before, just haven't played Modern in a bit but am getting back into it since I moved to where there's not a Legacy scene. I'll continue to work on the deck and see where it takes me.
