Hey, I'm new to Magic and I love this deck so far. By new, I should say I've been playing for a total of two weeks or so. I went out and purchased a blue black intro deck and picked up a bunch of randoms, shoving them aimlessly into a deck. After numerous games of getting beat down I began to see which cards worked well together and which ones were being used when I actually won my games. The cards that took the games for me were Jace's Phantasm and Wight of Precinct Six .

I came across this deck a bit later, compared it to a few others and ordered many of the cards from it. I wanted to leave you a comment and say thank you for helping to steer my deck direction. As I'm completely new to the game it's hard to build a deck when you don't necessarily know the available strategies, so this gave me a good place to start.

I do have a question, though. This doesn't seem like a deck designed to mill an opponent to their loss but rather to mill them until the graveyard benefits your creatures well enough to where you can beat them down. However, wouldn't a Mind Funeral or two be warranted? It's a very cheap mana cost card and could theoretically let you drop some 5/5 Phantasms by turn 3/4. If I'm missing something obvious, my apologies. Again, very new and thus incredibly ignorant. Thanks again, though!

Any reason to run Mind Sculpt over Glimpse the Unthinkable?
