@formortis , completely agree with you on removing the codex shredders and mind grind which in and of itself frees up 4x card , also with M14 release i would take out the murders and put in doom blade , i have a similar deck build on going atm but i cant afford to buy the 3x Jace, Memory Adept that i need , mine runs 4x Dimir Charms and 3x Pilfered Plans , also i run 4 x Far // Away and 4x Soul Ransom have been considering taking out the Soul Ransom to add/keep Dream Twist. Dream Twist does make the deck much faster mill wise but loses the ability to have a modicum of creature control.

If you're going to mill, i suggest you stick on using just Jace, MA and Nephalia Drownyards. Consuming Aberration is a good card but it can be easily exiled by a Selesnya Charm or could be easily killed by Murder . I'd suggest using the slot for Vampire Nighthawk . It's a good blocker with lifelink, plus it has deathtouch. Tamiyo, the Moon Sage can be used as another win condition. As for breaking // entering and mind sculpt, sure it does mill a lot for 2 mana, but as the game goes on you'd wish it was a counterspell or a creature removal or a draw card. You can put in several cards like Tragic Slip and Devour Flesh . You can also put in Think Twice so u can have some card advantage. try putting in Dissipate or Syncopate to exile cards that have flashback. Add another land, a drownyard would be better. As for your sideboard, try putting in Dispel and/or Negate for those who can counter your spell.

Fog Bank as a blocker.I love Death's Approach as a removal card once you mill at 1 mana. Murder is too costly and Unsummon is only a stall.I also like Whispering Madness . You get Mill and you can get draw from it as well.

Traumatize which is being reprinted for m14, will make this deck...turn 5 this will hit ALOT harder than a Mind Grind . also, consider Duskmantle Guildmage combo into Traumatize for big damage. I'm working on a competitive mill deck myself...the only issue is in my meta they're playing a lot of quick aggro decks, such as blitz or boros/naya aggro, or RDW...which means that I need to seriously get god hands in order to sustain....consider enough counterspells and removal (such as Doom Blade , Ultimate Price , Devour Flesh , and Tragic Slip ) to help you survive early game while you're busy reaching mana curve and building a hand.

I like this strategy. I have noticed that my mill has more creatures than what most of the other ones i have looked at have. Maybe i am making a bad decision there. At any rate plus one and good luck with this.

+1 for a fellow dimir mill, I really dig this set up. UB murder mill (post rotation) I'm running a bit more creatures in mine, but they pair quite nicely will the mill machine, check it out!

I can be a pretty bad ass dimir mage when I want to be. You should check out my deck Rareless Dimir Control Mill if you're curious. Looking at your deck list you are definitely on the control end of dimir. From my experiences I'll give you some suggestions.
3 Negate s in the main board are way too many. If you're going to play Negate mainboard I would only play one or two. In my opinion Negate is a sideboard card. I would strongly suggest a full playset of Psychic Strike s.
23 lands in deck that wants to control the board is dangerous. I would strongly suggest you bring the land count to 25 or 26. Nothing worse than having the answer and not being able to cast it... Thats the worst -_-...
Breaking / Entering isn't really a good card in this particular build. Without red mana you can only cast half the card and the half you can cast can only opponents and sorcery speed. I would suggest adding Dimir Charm in it's place. It mills, kills creatures, and stops sorceries for the same price at instant speed.
With only 6 sorceries Quicken isn't getting too much use. I would take those out and replace them with something else. Either some card draw or more removal. Player'a choice!
This is my final and most important suggestion. PLAY DOOM BLADE!!! It's awesome. And if that won't work switch them out for Dark Betrayal . Thel shall not escape your awesome fury!!!

Swap out Disperse for Voyage's End , as the only difference is the scry 1 granted.

thataddkid that's not true. Disperse works for any non land permanent, where Voyage's End only works on creatures.

Could also be used for mirko to hit his ability. Rogues passage still adds mana do its not pike its taking up a spell because its always there to use
