Swap the mind sculpt for breaking and drop 2 slip through space for mind funeral and would run a set of polluted deltas for more hedron crab value

Those are some great ideas thanks man. I was already thinking about dropping some slips and 1 consuming aberration. Fetch lands would be a great idea since I can essentially mill you for 6 instead of 3 each turn. I appreciate the input

I'm actually thinking about dropping it. I think it's a great idea, just it takes to long and the spells I'm running (mill wise) are mostly sorcerys. Except for archive traps which are too much mana. I'll update later. I think you'll like what I'm going to do

This is pretty much the top mill list if you want to go competitive. Hope you do well!

The reckoning day is getting closer. My pptq is on August 27th. Any thoughts on a side board? Also thank you for the luck. Lol I feel like you need luck in a mill deck.

Mill is literally just worse burn. Don't play it.

Now I understand why you'd say that, but if you convert the cards you are milling to damage that isn't the case at all! This deck went 8-0 in the grand prix in Los angeles so I'll figure I'll give it a shot after making the lands more consistant

No, it is.

Assuming you have to mill 45-50 cards, glimpse the unthinkable becomes 1/4-1/5 of their library. Boros charm does the same thing. Mind funeral is on average 10 cards as well, becoming 3 mana boros charm. Breaking/entering is a 2 mana lava spike. You also don't get the constant damage eidolon of the great revel, goblin guide, monastery swiftspear with the same efficiency. Mesmeric orb, hedron crab and mesmeric orb are just worse. Eldrazi also makes it super hard to win (you have to have a surgical and they still reset their library). You also have no way to deal with Leyline of Sanctity, which completely wrecks you and burn has a good way to deal with.

This deck is strictly worse burn.

It's the combination of passive effects and straight mill that I think makes it better. Cool you burn me for direct damage. Enjoy your 8-10 cards you'll be seeing that game. Regardless it's about luck I realize that, but you are under estimating it.

Or maybe I'm relying to much on luck. Either way that's why it's the dead man's hand ;)

Also if I was facing burn I'd side board in crypt incursion. I forgot my sideboard isn't listed on here

Dude_3 Recently at a GP U/B mill went nearly undefeated. Also. I viewed your comments page and literally all you do is go on peoples decks say "this deck isn't competitive" A. Have you won a pro tour and built a career off of magic? no? shut up. B. No one cares. C. Magic is supposed to be fun, While I consider myself a competitive player, Going on peoples home brews and trying to belittle them and tell them they are not competitive isn't cool. god forbid people try their own things

Ya honestly I'm not taking his opinion seriously. Burn is the thing I'm worried the most about, but after some serious testing against most of the main modern decks I'm not too worried and am super happy with how it turned out.

That one good run you are referring too was more than a couple games. As I stated before I'm not worried and what it ultimately comes down to is luck. You both fell free to keep arguing though.

I've always considered Haunting Echoes a disgusting card for a mill deck :)
