Yep and the vast majority of those I've beat on a regular basis.

I didn't say that, but you're just looking at meta game and there is more to look at than just that. Was the man who went undefeated in Los Angeles wrong? This is a new mill concept and because it's so far in the left field it's haRd to stop.

What I mean by that us most sideboards prepare for the meta.

You should try it sometime. I think you'd be surprised.

Maybe splash white for Path to Exile? It makes Archive Trap and Mind Funeral better, and gives the deck some much needed removal. Also, why run Visions of Beyond if you're wanting to Ensnaring Bridge your opponent? Same goes for Jace's Phantasm, what good is a creature on your board that can't attack? I would suggest Snapcaster Mage instead.

I really thought about adding path to exile and leyline of the sanctity, but ultimately it really opens me up to get mana screwed which is why I strayed away from both those. I run Visions because of the 3 draw which fuels me. I honestly don't normally run it with bridge. It gives me a solid option to sideboard with instead of losing something more valuable. Snapcaster was something I thought about and played with for a bit, but what it comes down to is that I just don't have the mana to make it even worth using. I ran manic scribe as well for awhile, but ultimately it does little against aggro which is why I chose jace, plus with it being cheaper it fills potential gaps on turn 3. It also let's me attack say thopter on a stick or similar decks that have little defense and will probably be running leyline of the sancitity. Regarding the extra trigger with path to exile it's not really necessary with everyone fetching lands or searching anyways. I am honestly pretty happy how my anti aggro sideboard works.

Ultimately what it comes down to is my weakness is aggro. Control is just flat out screwed against me. This was my solution to answer that aggro problem and it seems to work wonders.

For sideboard consider Leyline of Singularity and Flashfreeze. Choose either Crypt Incursion or Leyline of the Void. You wont need too much graveyard hate. Crypt Incursion is also good vs. aggro. Also this is probably the top mill list. This deck should do well.

Well the main reason I've been running leyline of the void is to cover my ass against dredge and emrakul, but leyline of singularity could be a bunch of fun.
Lol I know a bunch of hate comments, nobody likes mill.
Thanks though I appreciate it!!!

Same I like mill too mill is a very competitive deck.

your going to need a sideboard option to deal with Leyline of Sanctity i run a deck like this and it hurts to get stopped by that

Also if it's a heavy control deck trying to use leyline of the sanctity I can use jace as an offensive weapon.

Bitter Ordeal This might be worth a shot especially if you casted an Archive Trap first
August 26, 2016 7:04 p.m.
Fredword16 says... #19
You know that's an awesome card, it wouldn't really work with archive trap since that normally happens during their turn but none the less that's fucking awesome. I mean it's still letting me do up to 6 with Hedron crab

think about this move, with 1 crab on board and 3 mana, draw a ghost quarter, play it and sac it to blow up an opponent land, they search for a land. Cast archive trap for 0, then cast bitter ordeal, so 2 lands went into graveyard and 3 were milled from crab then 13 from trap. so all Artifact/Creature/Enchantment/Land/Planeswalker put into the graveyard will allow you to search for cards to exile. Usually if its not a instant/sorcery heavy deck probably 13.

Damn that's pretty setious. How have I not seen this card.

It says choose a card so it doesn't even have to be in the graveyard right?
August 26, 2016 8:02 p.m.
frogkill45 says... #23
correct, and it goes off both graveyards so whatever went into yours and theirs that turn, i only heard about this card from another mill deck enthusiast (also owner of the LGS i go to) after i had informed him i ran into 2 decks with mainboard emrakuls (nahiri combo)
August 26, 2016 8:12 p.m.
Fredword16 says... #24
Ya that's basically why I'm running leyline of the void and surgical extraction. There's some dual purpose there but what lead me there was to handle emrakul

What do you think would be a good swap for bitter ordeal?
Fredword16 says... #1
I would strongly disagree.
