probably Jace's Phantasm because you use ensaring bridge

Ensnaring bridge is a blocker not really ment for offense. Im honestly leaning towards mesmeric Orb. Jace fills possible holes each turn as well. Jace serves more purpose than you would think.I would maybe consider taking out bridge tbh

How does not running mesmeric orb against leyline of the sancitity handle?

I say cut Set Adrift, put Surgical Extraction in the sb, then put in Bitter Ordeal, which should do incredible.

you're right and to answer the problem I was trying fix (burn) I decided on a form of land destruction using evil presence. Still haven't decided if I'm going to keep mesmeric Orb, if I don't I'll put Surgical Extraction back in.

Bitter ordeal doesn't work like you think it does.

Evil presence is also way worse than Spreading Seas. Both suck in this deck but if you want to play one go with spreading seas.

I agree with Dude_3. Use Mesmeric Orb instead. And replace Leyline of the Void with Surgical Extraction.

Lol ya it's a bummer. I'll be keeping void In though for the counter against emrakul and dredge. Probably put back in Surgical Extraction and mesmeric Orb back in. I was already wondering how hard it would be to pull off a move using bitter ordeal anyways.

If any of you have any ideas on how to better counter burn I'd love to hear it. Seems to be the thing I have the most trouble with

Crypt Incursion does help vs burn long as you mill like 5 creatures

Profane Memento this worked well for me when it was in standard

Dragon's Claw is also a good sb card

Flashfreeze always handy aswell

Engineered Explosives boardwipe all the 1 drops

Spellskite eats bolts blocks most red creatures easily

Chalice of the Void for 1 or 2 can wreck them

Shadow of Doubt also useful

I'm thinking about adding profane memento instead of evil presence. Then maybe putting mana leaks or destroy cards instead of bitter ordeal.

No keep Damnation. Thing is worse. Profane Memento is a worse Crypt Incursion. Isochron Scepter might be fun. Re add the Surgical Extraction.

Profane memento may be worse, but when I combine both specifically against burn it should balance things better since batterskull or whatever it's called usually counters crypt incursion.

I washould thinking thing might be better because 1.it's a blocker. 2. Should be able to flip at about the same speed. 3. It won't be countered as often as damnation. 4. It's less of a mana strain. 5. With all the cards that allow people to look at hands, if they see or know I run damnation they save a counter. It's too much of a target. 6. Hopefully with them knowing I'm running mill they won't use as many destroy spells.

I tested with isochran sceptor and it does not work in this deck. I mean what am I going to copy Surgical Extraction and Visions? I tried it with a splash of counter and it comes down to is am I going to hold off from milling to counter something I'm not even sure will play? The answer is no I wont.

So atm I'm thinking 3x thing in the ice instead of damnation 3x Surgical Extraction instead of evil presence then maybe either 4x counter or 4x Mesmeric orb

Then maybe taking my 4x cards in my side down to 3x to add 3x profane memento

Profane Memento will not be a good card in this deck, even Tome Scour does better. If anything put it in the sb.
