I took out the Perplex and added Muddle the Mixture . Its transmute is actually far more useful due to the amount of things in the deck that cost 2 mana.

I think, maybe, I need things to draw cards more quickly. In common pauper format, I don't know what will do that repeatedly, though...

I think you should use Breaking/Entering, it's a 2 drop mill 8 and tome scour a one blue mil 5. Also, you should put in dual lands and shock lands, maybe Jace?
