Sideboard


The very first thing I would like to point out is that my side deck is my current shopping cart on tcgplayer.com. Okay, so I've been studying mill decks for a few months now (college boredom), and I noticed that most mill decks are straight up mill mill mill. That's boring and it never won me any games. So I don't know if creativity is the word to use, but let's just say I mixed things up. Cards like time ebb and death's approach were interesting because I never saw them in an typical mill deck, to be honest I didn't see them at all, but it was surprising to me because they are cheap drops that work well with creature control. But like every deck this one isn't perfect, and of course I face the dilemma every control deck faces, IT'S TOO DAMN SLOW! Unfortunately that is a curse well must all bare, but I think I have found ways around it. The best thing I thought of was ways to slow my opponent down, which is what my counters/creature destruction cards are for. It's working so far. My games against my burn/control roommate are becoming longer and longer, and I'm actually winning rounds so that means I'm doing something right. Now the main reason I'm doing this is for your guy's help because my deck lacks synergy. What is bothering me the most this that I haven't been able to use my duskmantle's life loss effect. Anyway, a lot of the main deck cards are expendable and I am more than willing to experiment, card suggestions would be great and thanks for the help.

On a side note, I want to talk about my side deck for a minute, especially the diabolic tutors and rise of the dark realms. My dream deck would be to have the balls to runs those successfully. Rise of the Dark Realms is just an insta-win in the late game and if I'm stalling to get to the late game I feel like it's a staple and the tutors are just there to help bring it out. They also have different uses in case I need a miracle Consuming Aberration or Jace.
