TheHroth, maybe Nightveil Specter ? Seems like he doesn't do much for you and unless it's a Mutavault , it's probably not going to be played anyway.

I run Nightveil Specter in sideboard against U/W/x control, where it is more useful than Desecration Demon . Stealing Sphinx's Revelation is just such fun.

Personally, I think you should lose the villainous wealth. It is certainly a fun card, but I think you'd be better off with just another Ashiok. I'd also contemplate adding another Kin-Tree Evocation. Lastly, I am not a huge fan of the Prophet of Kruphix. I think Nighthowler would be interesting in this deck and would synergize well with Phenax's ability and the upcoming meta gaming which should be very creature intensive. I believe your board also needs Bile Blight and Drown in Sorrow, or atleast it should be in your Maybe board depending on the meta.
That being said... I think it awesome. Only things to consider.

I do agree with dropping Villainous Wealth , despite how awesome it is. I'm hesitant to do so only for flavour reasons.
Prophet of Kruphix is something many don't expect. It lets me mill not only on my turn, but on opponents turns too, for a much faster and explosive finish. I may have enough of that with Kiora's Follower and Triton Tactics though. I'll think about dropping them. Without Phenax, they're really not that great.
This frees up 3 slots for new stuff.
Nighthowler is great, but takes time to make him big, and I want opponents milled out by the time he gets that big. I really should add him to my Phenax EDH deck though! I'm crazy for not having done so yet. o_O
I already have 3 Bile Blight in my sideboard, so I think bringing 2-3 of them into the mainboard will be good. If I only add 2, that will leave room for a third Kin-Tree Invocation ...I think I'll do that.
I'll basically rebuild the whole sideboard after that. It kinda sucks.
Thanks a lot for the comment!

Why no sylvan caryatids decent toughness hexproof and ramp. Also courser of kruphix?
October 11, 2014 12:30 a.m.
kin tree invocation and 1 liliana - kin tree does nothing on an empty board and liliana you should not care about too much. For courser I am not sure. Maybe redo mana base a bit too could possibbly cut 2 lands move to 22 and then add in 2 to 3 coursers
October 11, 2014 12:48 a.m.
Fair points all around. I'm hesitant to drop Liliana though, only because her -2 is so helpful.
October 11, 2014 12:54 a.m.
your green mana is very lacking i would recomend 4 opulent palces instead of one
October 13, 2014 3:13 p.m.
I have 8 lands that tap for green mana currently: 3 Yavimaya Coast , 1 Temple of Mystery , 1 Temple of Malady , 1 Opulent Palace , and 2 Llanowar Wastes .
I currently only have 7 tap lands, 4 Temple of Deceit , 1 Temple of Mystery , 1 Temple of Malady , and 1 Opulent Palace . I don't want too many more tap lands, because then my game slows down. The most tap lands I would run here is 9, so I guess I have room for 2 more.
Trying -1 Island -1 Swamp for now, to add 1 Temple of Malady and 1 Temple of Mystery . I'd rather have tap lands that do something for me (i.e. scry), than enter tapped and do nothing.

the 3 colors is relevant and the issue i had when testing this was not having agreen source for turn 2 caryatid or follower
October 13, 2014 4:38 p.m.
Well I've just added another 2 green sources without losing any other colour sources, so that should help a lot.
I hadn't come across too much colour problem while testing, but it always happens sometimes, hopefully this will help avoid that.

Deck seems solid. If you want to go opposite you can play ascendancy combo mill which is jsut great for pissing people off
October 13, 2014 9:38 p.m.
Hehe, I've built that deck too:
Jeskai Combo Mania Playtest
Standard
SCORE: 8 | 0 COMMENTS | 777 VIEWSMilling with Altar of the Brood is way too much fun. The deck can also use Nissa, Worldwaker instead of the Altar, and win by pumping your land to infinite power.
October 13, 2014 10:57 p.m.
Also, @wolfsokol, I really need to thank you man, for all the help you've given this deck. You were the first to comment on it, way back when I first made it, and it has come a long way since then. When I first finally decided to go Sultai, I got some ideas from your own deck, Mill on mine mill on yours, as the base of the green splash.
October 13, 2014 11:06 p.m.
Thanks I appreciate the recognition just trying to make something that everyone hates playable :) I am now on mardu, abzan and rabble but I am waiting for mill to steal something. I think your only problem will be jeskai (tempo, aggro, wins, burn) whatever it is called
October 13, 2014 11:36 p.m.
For sure.
Bile Blight , Despise , Negate , and Drown in Sorrow from the sideboard all help in that matchup
October 13, 2014 11:50 p.m.
only courser for life seems rough may want to consider the aetherspouts in your boardto reset rabble tokens and riders that dontdie from drown in sorrow. Probably needs testing but that is about 60% of the meta atm with 35% abzan then 5% other
October 13, 2014 11:57 p.m.
MTGTop8 has Jeskai at 20% right now, with Mono-Green Devo and Abzan at another 20% each. The last 40% is mostly various removal based control builds, mostly W/B/x. Then the silly Jeskai Ascendancy Combo lol.
I missed the last couple FNM's at my LGS due to family stuff, so I'm not really sure what my local meta is shaping out to be, but if my guesses are correct, there will be lots of Abzan XD.
If only my creatures had some POWER I would sideboard Whip of Erebos , but that seems more than a little useless at this point. Haha.
At least Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is good against Jeskai...Being able to block Mantis with their own Mantis is great, and even if I don't get Mantis, I remove their precious burn spells, buying myself lots of time.
October 14, 2014 12:07 a.m.
Yeah that is really good also dig through time is straight gas.
October 14, 2014 12:17 a.m.
Hmm true. I can always mill myself a little to make casting it easier too, but I don't think that is generally a good idea.
Where to fit in another 2 copies though?
October 14, 2014 12:20 a.m.
umm no idea you could drop one phenax theoretically adding more digs should make it easier to find but that is risky... this could be incredibly wrong but if you wanted the play set of dig drop 1 phenax and 1 thoughtseize not sure though
October 14, 2014 12:36 a.m.
That is probably the best way to fit it in...going down to 2 Phenax should not be an issue, especially if I am upping to a full set of Dig. Further testing will let us know if that is the right choice or not!
October 14, 2014 12:39 a.m.
So with 2 Phenax, God of Deception , he isn't coming enough, even with a full set of Dig Through Time .
I'll drop another Thoughtseize to fit the 3rd Phenax back in I guess...also will drop a Despise from the side to add another Negate .
TheHroth says... #1
I know I'm wierd, but I run Consuming Aberration over Wight of Precinct Six . My 2 and 3 cmc cards already allow me enough control to stall and build up to my 4 and 5 cmc.
Consuming Aberration is also bigger, drawing power from the number of all cards, and makes itself bigger whenever I cast something.
