Have a blast playing the Legacy version of my deck, Mind Blast. This version is an Izzet deck built around Mindshrieker and Calibrated Blast

MindBlast

"The secret is simply to know what you're going to do before you even see the possibilities"-Porlema'ko, mind mage

The deck name is a portmanteau of the cards Mindshrieker and Calibrated Blast.

Gameplan

The gameplan for this deck is to get Mindshrieker to the battlefield, or have Calibrated Blast in hand, then top-decking a high CMC card. This is easy, as Flamekin Harbinger can search for Earthquake Dragon.

Opening Hand

You might start the game with a powerful opener. Chancellor of the Dross will give you a 6 point life swing, Potentially putting your opponent in lethal range from a single big hit from Calibrated Blast or Mindshrieker.

Sphinx of Foresight Can give you confidence that you made the right decision keeping your opening hand, and on a later turn will provide a useful 4/4 flying body toclose out the game.

Sideboard tech

If your opponent is playing significant creature hate, you can sideboard out Mindshrieker for Erratic Explosion and turn the deck into a direct damage engine.
