Exactly why I use Sleep and Crippling Chill in my mill deck. Getting that extra turn always helps.

@emracool

Downpour is a good one too because it taps three creatures. I like Crippling Chill as well because you don't lose a card by using it.

@FridayWing

I already have Sands of Delirium in here so i don't need Increasing Confusion . It's a nice card though I do want to playtest with it but my friend is using my copies at the moment.

go for 1 Sands of Delirium and 1 Increasing Confusion . Imagine a benefit of an IC when casted on a graveyard. I have seen a play of these card and it was awesome. Casting cost is the same as the flashback cost and on top of that, you get your enemy discard twice as much.

I saw a game where he top decked an Increasing Confusion, he casted it for 2 mana, discarding only 1. He has 6 mana left. Flashbacked it for 5 mill, x2. BOOM

EOG. GG

@FridayWing

That's pretty sweet!I really want to keep 2x Sands of Delirium in so I have a better chance of drawing it.I want to add one Increasing Confusion in as a one of because it can be a bomb if I flash it back late game. I have to consider what to remove for the one Increasing Confusion now. maybe one Snapcaster Mage .

Thanks FridayWing and iOnlyUseBigGuns for the suggestions!

Never ever take out a Snapcaster Mage , ever ever ever ever ever haha, I'd say drop a Nephalia Drownyard just because you dont really need 3 of them, ill be running 2 in my mill deck (My take on Mill), but as is I only have 1 and I pull it somewhat reliably, and you have more draw than I do, so I'd say drop one for the Increasing Confusion :)

Thanks! I'm bringing it to fnm next friday. I almost always place top 4 with my Zombie Finger Painting deck. Everyone's going to expect them but they're for a rude awakening!

I would say! and ill take a look at that deck as well haha, I just went to my first FNM last night and I was damn close to top 8 but ended up losing to a U/W control deck that I would think values somewhere near 600 dollars just due to the fact it was full foil -.- the guy had way too much money to throw around haha, but if ya get a moment take a look at my 2 main decks Sucks for you! is my illusion/control that I mainly play and my My take on Mill is the deck I have been really working on due to pulling a jace and im pretty sure it will be my new deck once ravnica hits, so if ya get a moment take a look at em and tell me what ya think, and ill take a look at that zombie deck cuz I know I got my ass kicked by a mono black zombie sac deck that just made me sad haha

I love this deck and if It's ok I want to play it. I do have some question though on how you would play it. I've never been good at switching cards from sideboard... How would you do that with this deck? Like alot of the time I just don't know what to take out.

@06saxplayer

You can play it! It's pretty fun to play, still needs a few more tweaks though. Let me know how it does and if you have any good suggestions. This is what i'm trying to do with my sideboard by the way:

Switch 2x Nephalia Drownyard for 2x Ghost Quarter against decks with Cavern of Souls and wolf run ramp decks.

Undead Alchemist can replace Devastation Tide for a more creature focused strategy. The zombies can mill themselves, kill creatures, and block creatures.

Depending on the deck, card:Tormod's Crypt is good against flash back strategies and Reanimator deck but also good against Elixir of Immortality .

Rise from the Grave can be put in to replace 2 Devastation Tide if you know of any creature that player is using who's ability could be useful.

YuGiOh players deck out their opponents.

Magic players mill them.

This deck would be eaten alive by Aggro decks 100% of the time, especially if/when Thalia, Guardian of Thraben hits the board. You need ways to deal with those types of decks or else you'll lose to them every time.

@zandl

What do you think could help me against aggro? I've never played Yugioh but thanks for the heads up.

Honestly, I'd just add Black for removal. You already have Drowned Catacomb and Nephalia Drownyard . card:Black Sun's Zenith is very good right now and then you would have unadulterated access to Go for the Throat and Dismember without having to pay life each time.

August 23, 2012 11:45 a.m.

I Would Also Suggest Adding Murder ... And Possibly Skeletal Grimace ...

August 23, 2012 1:03 p.m.

CrimsonKing says... #21

I do like the Dismember idea but it's rotating out soon and Murder is too much black. I am thinking about making this more black though. I'll have to do some playtesting at FNM tommorrow. I do have a card:Black Sun's Zenith...Thanks guys!

Powerhero44 says... #23

i would recommend Vapor Snag over Murder because Vapor Snag is 1 mana instead of 3 and also Go for the Throat and Doom Blade

September 3, 2012 1:55 a.m.

mattil says... #24

Maybe Trepanation Blade if you want to go further ahead with Undead Alchemist . For now he's just sitting there - a lonely 4x creature. Doesn't really do much for him. There are so many delicious black zombies, that even have undying, that would fit with him in your sideboard. :)

one of the things i'd watch out for is running two copies of Nephalia Drownyard . You've got quite a few 2 color requirement cards like Murder and Dissipate . I found the drownyards were really slow and in the long game I think you'd end up using the Sands of Delirium over those lands anyway. Check out a kind of similar build I made, What, no cards?, using red instead of black. I tried to make it really draw-heavy with card:Jace's Erasure and it works quite well because it tends to restock your hand while simultaneously milling your opponent.
