This started out as Mind Seize, the 2013 Grixis EDH Precon. It's no longer as much of a spell-slinging deck, instead being geared more towards Nekusar instead of Jeleva. The creature count was upped to make it a bit easier to survive longer. In addition, the non-creature spells were geared towards card draw, helping Nekusar deal damage to each opponent every turn he's out.
