I agree with the Highborn Ghoul idea, at least until something better (hopefully) comes out in RTR. But I took the 4xCemetery Reaper out for the rotation. I COULD take -4xTribute to Hunger for +4xMurder ...I do like that idea. That will also free up some space to take out some (or all) of the Unsummon 's. Though what would I put in THEIR place now? lol...

-2 Unsummon +2 Tribute to Hunger perhaps?

I'd look in to: Duress for hand disruption against control. Mind Rot for the same reason. Think Twice for card draw or Sign in Blood for card draw.

Tragic Slip wants to be in this deck as well. Just sayin'.

Tragic Slip

Bloodthrone Vampire might be what you're looking for. Sac to pump, can do it as often as you have something to sac.

While you might not like it, card:Altar's Reap + Gravecrawler /card:Geralf's Messenger = fun times. Especially with the Captain out. Sacing to deal damage, getting to draw cards, and having them pop right back is just TOO good. Card advantage is game advantage most of the times. Decks like this top deck quickly if they don't have a draw engine, and card:Altar's Reap fits right in.

My hope is that I have good control over the game if not won by the time I top deck. I'll try your recommendations for a few days though. I'll take out 3xHighborn Ghoul and put in 3xcard:Altar's Reap.

Options are better than hopes. Dead hands happen if you end up with bad draws. card:Altar's Reap gives you the chance to get out of dead draws or top decking. It also allows for the play that card:Geralf's Messenger is intended for. Play, 2 damage. Sac, 2 cards, back for 2 more damage.

I have run several zombie decks in tournies. I tried 2 without card:Altar's Reap, and I'd watch good hands turn bad, or I'd run out of cards too fast. It also mixes well with Tragic Slip as you can sac to draw two, then just flat out kill just about anything on the board for 1 mana.

Gravecrawler and Grimgrin, Corpse-Born are too good in this deck.
