Power Level: ~4/10

So this deck began as a joke among a coupe of my friends, however after building it I am surprised by how much fun it is to play. This deck is intentionally kept at a low to mid power level, with the intent of having a range of power among my EDH decks for different playgroups and opponents.

That being said, this deck focuses on two themes: minotaur tribal and discard effects.

For the minotaur tribal theme, we run almost all of the minotaur lords such as Anaba Spirit Crafter, Kragma Warcaller, Felhide Petrifier isn't technically a lord but it is close enough, Adaptive Automaton, and Ragemonger. You'll also notice that we run some normally less than desirable minotaurs such as Bloodrage Brawler and Lord of Shatterskull Pass. These cards get significantly better with first strike and an anthem effect. Also, since there are not that many minotaurs, and even less that are good enough to play in EDH, we also run a few changelings to supplement our creature base like Cairn Wanderer and Taurean Mauler.

In order to facilitate the discard theme, we have a lot of cards that punish our opponents for discarding cards and then of course we want no cards in hand to get Neheb, the Worthy's anthem effect. Cards like Raiders' Wake, Bloodchief Ascension, Cunning Lethemancer, Delirium Skeins, Fell Specter, and Gibbering Descent all help us drain our opponents and benefit from the symmetrical discard effects. We can also get some value from our opponents discarding with Geth's Grimoire and Waste Not. Of course, Sire Of Insanity is a polarizing card, but in this deck it brings all of our opponents down to our level of no cards in hand, we just benefit from it way more than them with Neheb, the Worthy.

Some combos include Felhide Spiritbinder and Fanatic of Mogis to repeatedly drain your opponents of their life based on your permanents every turn.

Another combo is Bloodchief Ascension with Mindcrank which infinitely drains your opponents after Neheb, the Worthy connects to an opponent. I have intentionally left out Mindcrank in order to keep the power level down, but if you wanted to ramp it up a little bit that is an easy include.

Now to address the Hurloon Wrangler in the room. I found this card in my research as I was building this deck. I love it, the art, the flavor text, the denimwalk. So every game that I play, I ask all of my opponents if I can run Hurloon Wrangler. If they say yes, then I cut a card at random from my deck, face down, and shuffle Hurloon Wrangler in. I only check the cut card after the game is over. This keeps the legality problem out of the question, as well as making the deck more random and less competitive which is a goal of mine.

As with all of my decks, I would love to get suggestions and feedback with the deck. Also make sure to check back in as I continually update all of my decklists, and feel free to check my profile for other decks I have made. Thanks for reading!
