I'm so tired of the same old tribes going around dominating. With enough strong leaders to finally band them together they stand ready to lay waste to the pathetic cities of Theros. So begins the reign of the Minotaur. -cue deathmetal music-

Seriously though minotaurs arent getting nearly enough credit. I think i finally figured out a good set up for the upcoming rotation (hoping minotaurs will be a thing in Tarkir) But i mentioned that strong leaders made this possible correct? Well let's introduce you to them.

- Kragma Warcaller is a beast. Think Ogre Battledriver but for minotaurs and that 2/0 is every single time they attack (so imagine a Minotaur Skullcleaver coming out of no where for six damage) 5 mana may seem a bit much, but throw down a Ragemonger and it drops to three. Which leads me to my next clan leader.

- Ragemonger may be even better than warcaller. it reduces the cost of all of your creatures to 3 or less. Warcaller becomes a three drop. More ragemongers become one drops, Gnarled Scarhide becomes a zero drop! I could go on but basically this is your mana fixer, and allows you to literally open the gates for a minotaur siege. It also lets you play a removal spell and creature spell in one turn for that sweet tempo game.

- Rageblood Shaman This guy is a little sneaky in his game. While he does the obvious buffing, he also gives trample. Combined with buffs from war caller, this extra bit of damage depletes your opponets crucial life.

- Felhide Petrifier his leadership is contestable but who doesnt want all of their creatures having deathtouch. Plus this guy is a god in combo with Rageblood shaman. Allowing all of your creatures to assign one damage to their respective blockers and the rest of their power to trample over. I've noticed a lot of confusion about this ruling when it comes to Trample+deathtouch. and ask you naysayers to refer to this article that explains it better.

So in conclusion, Minotaurs will be a thing so help me mogis. Also I'm thinking of running Mogis Marauder for evasion, but since he's a faker i'm not sure if he would be worth it since he won't receive any positive effects from my minotaurs.

Updates Add

With all of the hard 2 drop removal spells cycling i've decided to try out Fall of the Hammer (since ultimate price is the only card I'm losing.)

Game one: Vs. RUG Monsters Fall of the hammer worked phenomenally in both matches. (though it should be noted that it really only preforms with a petrifier in play) I was able to clear out poly, and it was smooth trampling from then on.

Game two Vs. Green/ Red Mana ramp. So many mana dorks. he had the mana.. but he just used it for more mana dorks. Idk if he wasnt drawing monsters or didn't have enough or what. But Fall of the hammer wasn't really needed.

Verdict: Fall of the hammer will be used for now. Heroes downfall is my only other real option to deal with fatty blockers. Will test that out.
