I love this honestly. The only thing I would look at is maybe Damnation or some other board wipe. I would also look at Blue Sun's Zenith. This card doubles as a great card draw for you or a fantastic way of ending the game by making them draw.

@cjk191997

Thank you! I really appreciate the input and I totally agree that I need some type of board wipe. Damnation is a bit out of my price range but I was thinking of something like Cyclonic Rift. I like Blue Sun's Zenith, but I feel like most of the time it will just be a dead draw for me and the mana cost has mana symbol umana symbol umana symbol u, which I try to steer away from in either color.

Thanks again and I'm glad you liked it!

Sword of Body and Mind. Giving Mirko Vosk double strike is hilarious too.

Agreed! Its my dream to have Fireshrieker on Mirko and use Strionic Resonator to mill for twelve lands per turn! Thanks of the input as well. :D

how about Extinguish All Hope?

@cjk191997

That is a good one! Much cheaper than Cyclonic Rift, I'll add it to the maybeboard while I figure out what to do with it.

I like In Garruk's Wake and Perilous Vault. Necromantic Selection is also fun but it violates your criteria.

MrHuffle says... #12

I like the Necromantic Selection and I might even have to make an exception for it because it could bring back my commander. I'll have to take a look at Perilous Vault as well, but I think In Garruk's Wake is just a little too expensive mana-wise.

Hey, I found your deck from the "Advertise your COMMANDER deck!" Forum

First, I want to talk about your description. It's clear that you've put a lot of time into this deck know it very well. I can see you're still wrapping up some sections like strengths and weaknesses, but aside from that the description it truly top-notch. These next few criticisms are really just knit-picking. One thing I noticed was that some of your sections are very long due to pictures. The pictures are cool but cause a few issues. When I was reading your primer, went through the "Card Choices" section. After reading each subcategory, I clicked "The Combos/Synergies." This caused the "Card Choices" section to collapse. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but due to all the pictures I ended up staring at the middle of the comments section. This happens in a few other places and is a bit annoying. I would also add a section discussing the choices in your maybe-board, explaining what you do and don't like about them, etc. You could also add a section for cards that are on the chopping block, the under performers in the deck that you would likely take out for a new card or something on the maybe-board. Something else to consider would be a section for a pseudo-sideboard; cards that don't preform well in your meta right now but you could see being all-stars in a different playgroup. Mindbreak Trap in a storm heavy playgroup, for example. You could also have a section where you talk about cards you tried and didn't like, and why they didn't work out as a warning to future players and so you don't get them as suggestions. A section with cards that just cost too much $$$ for you but would be great in the deck would be useful to other players and it would make sure people aren't wasting your time suggesting cards you know about but are out of your price range. Finally, a description of your playgroup will help people help you.

As for the actual deck itself, it's a bit unusual and I don't have much experience with things like it so take everything I have to say with a grain of salt.

To me, ritual effects seem out of place in your deck. One time mana is almost exclusively played in combo decks in all other formats, and even in EDH I think it feels a bit out of place in a deck like this. I would consider cutting the ritual effects for artifact ramp. I know it feels nice to have the potential turn 4 but I think in the long run the artifact mana will be better in more games than the ritual effects.

I think there's also some great equipment you're missing. Sword of Feast and Famine is crazy and goes in any deck where you are hitting players for combat damage, Blade of Selves seems good, and Swiftfoot Boots seems like a must. I'm sure there's more but those are the best off the top of my head. Darksteel Plate will help keep him alive too.

Tag me if you have any questions, I'm happy to help!

P.S. It looks like you've already seen Cyclonic Rift but I would urge you to give the a second shot; it's an utterly broken spell and should probably be in all blue decks capable of 7 mana.

Hey TwentyFive_Shmeckles,

Thank you so much for the great criticism! I really like what you said and I'll make a lot of those changes you mentioned and I totally agree with the issues in the Primer. It looks like I'll spending even more of my limited time on adding stuff to the Primer haha! I also really like the suggestion of artifact ramp over the rituals. Again thank you so much for the constructive criticism, it goes to show that everyone still has stuff to learn!

Draw well! :D

I think mind funeral should be in your main board, a super good mill for just 3 mana!!

TwentyFive_Shmeckles, those were some good ideas, I'm stealing some of those ideas for my own Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker deck which I'm working on! I would like to point out though that wouldn't Blade of Selves not work with Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker? The tokens would be copies of a legendary creature and would thus go to the graveyard, no?

dalton345

You're right that wouldn't work, good call. I've only ever seen it played once at my lgs and I'm pretty sure some one had a Mirror Gallery out that game.

Hey there, saw your deck in the advertise your commander deck.

It seems like you know what you are doing, but I would like to give you an alternate commander consideration in the form of Circu, Dimir Lobotomist if you are playing big multiplayer games. In a format with Enlightened Tutor and Mystic Tutor you have a chance of hitting some staple cards that could lock out players of the same color, or key artifacts that your other opponents might be running. It doesn't mill for you as quickly as your current one, but has more of an effect on all players immediately. Especially in big groups.

Hope that can help a bit :P

Hey lucal13. As a mono mana symbol b player I recommend Bojuka Bog and Withered Wretch to hate on graveyards. I'd also take a look at Head Games and Syphon Mind. The first is fun. The second provides a lot of value in multiplayer.

I'm building a mill deck of my own. Which would you say is better, Tome Scour or Mind Sculpt?

September 5, 2016 2:37 p.m.

MrHuffle says... #21

@ Snap157 Hello! In my opinion Tome Scour is the better card because with Mind Sculpt your basically paying mana symbol 1 more for only two more cards, which could be better replaced by Thought Scour. If of course you are willing to spend more money, I would go with Glimpse the Unthinkable. If you have any more questions feel free to ask and thanks for the upvote!

@ Tomiix That is a great idea, if I get ahold of one I'll probably use it for multiplayer games. Thanks!

@ Draw_Wurm I definitely like the Bojuka Bog, but I feel the others would be taking the places of more important cards. Thanks for the suggestions anyhow!

@ Thephelddagrif Thanks for the upvote! :D

WoW commander fully mill deck!I would deffinantly put Mind Funeral(!),Bojuka Bog and Keening Stone in it

September 18, 2016 11:48 a.m.

thijmnesoy says... #23

hmm, maybe Fascination??

September 18, 2016 11:50 a.m.

MrHuffle says... #24

Thanks thijmnesoy for the upvote and comments!

I definitely want to put in Keening Stone and Bojuka Bog. I'm hesitant about Mind Funeral because it only targets one opponent and I'm trying to gear more towards multiplayer so your other suggestion of Fascination might be a good idea! And I know... commander mill! It actually isn't as difficult to achieve as one might think because no one is targeting you and you slowly mill everyone out!

Thanks again! :D-Luca
