I guess Mirko Vosk was the inspiration for this deck, but i had been wanting to make a 'mill' deck for a while. I havent checked out any of the classics of this genre, i just went in and started building at random...
grindclock and mesmeric orb stood out among all the 'mill' things that i saw in my first pass thru 'gatherer', these manifest their mill effect over and over for free, and as artifacts, tend to be a bit harder to remove than creatures.
... i have got two creatures in there though...Vosk makes them mill their library into their graveyard until they reveal 4 lands, while the Aberration has power and toughness equal to the # of cards in their graveyard.
there are a bunch of counterspells and creature control, and also the static orb and frozen aether, just to slow things down....! static orb is nasty with bounce and frozen aether...and it makes power sink much more powerful.
in early tests, the deck looks OK. In first test game vs. standard fast red, this deck won via a 25/25 Aberration.!
